If I was just going to order that few I wouldn't worry with a hatchery unless you are looking for a specific breed you can't find anywhere else.
Check at Farmer's Feed store in Sapulpa. They will probably start getting their chicks in pretty soon. You might be able to get them to order just what you want and then they can sell the rest of them through the store.
As for Hens for your dad, I have a solution and a plan. I have some production Red laying hens that are for sale for $10 each. The catch is is that I am near OKC.
So if you are coming this way or if he can wait a few weeks until I come to Henryetta/Okmulgee I could bring them and meet you.
The other thing would be to check at the feed store to see if they have any postings on their board for hens or ask them if they know anyone in your area that might have some for sale.
There is also a lady near Chandler that sells poultry periodically and she will deliver to the Tulsa area.
I will pm message you and give you her email address.
