Al I went and picked up some channel drain tin that I had bought off of Craigslist and the guy said it was 23 sheets. Turns out there were 37 and this fat boy was sweating before I got all that loaded!

Going back over tomorrow to load about 20 posts that are 16 feet long. Loaded three tonight and said no way, this is a job for the Kubota.

Lets see 800 sheets with 2ft coverage is 1600 feet of wall, man that's a lot of tin!

Donna do you have some of the Siapans? I would sure be interested in them. I think that I am addicted to these Oriental fowl. They just do not act like chickens!

Hi everyone as you know the fall P.O.O.P.S will be Sept. 26th. It has been decided that we would have a Pot luck lunch & dinner! We are looking for foods that are just as good cold as they are hot.

We will have limited outlets for crock pots if that is something you might be interested in. We will also have limited space to keep things cool between lunch and dinner, so if you bring something that needs to be kept cool make arrangements for that. For some folks that travel you could possibly have your ingredients made and put them together on site. Keep in mind the number of people that will be attending when making your dish or dishes.

We will also need paper goods, silverware & drinks. I have a couple of large igloo coolers that can be used for tea & kool-aid. If you have an one we could use let me know. I will need volunteers for set up before each meal along with volunteers for clean up after.

Please contact (PM) myself or TJ’s Nana if you have any questions or if you need a suggestion as to what you can bring. I will keep a running list of items.

Volunteer's for set up & clean up: (will work on times later)

Yeah it sure is, I will have to bring the loader on a flat bed, chain wrap it in 2' high stacks and lift & load. Thanks for the info I can't thank you enough, this deal saved me a ton of $$$$ for the new barn/shop. Now I can get that "38" Chevy coup ready to restore once I get the bldg up.

nnbreeder--I lost them when our electric went off. I had 6 bators going and lost a lot of everything. I've sure learned a lot since then.

Al--will there be a stove in the kitchen that could be used for awhile. I will have everything ready, will just need to cook on the stove top for a bit and then put in my crockpot.

Les, sounds like you got a great deal too. To bad they are so far and few between. But I guess that's the challenge that keeps you looking. I've been feeding some cat food to the moulty chicken, like you suggested. Appreciate the advice.

Les, we have to get tested on the 22nd for the fall chicken show at the fair. Would it be to our advantage to get the flock certified? Do they have to test every chicken on your place or test them randomly?

Al, are you going to do most of the work on the 38 yourself? I had a 53 chevy pickup that needed alot of work. I had it for years and finally decided I couldn't afford to fix it up. Sold it to a freind. Last time I saw it he had put a bronco frame under it and it looked like, well you know.

I've got a 86 chevy 4-wheel drive that I'm working on now. I've got all the dents out and it's nice and tight. Paint jobs have gone out of sight since I last got an estimate on one.

I painted a few when I was younger, but it was with laquar.

yes I plan to, it is my plan as a retirement project. it is a "38" 2 dr chevy sport coupe the body looks great no rust and has all the original chrome even on the inside and it is not even pitted. I want to do a total body off resto and turn it into a hot rod old school type. Big plans I know but I have allways wanted to try it.

We have seen one here near Sand Springs, and when we lived in Jenks a few years ago. They were both the blonde/brown ones though. About three weeks ago we had a very brave bobcat hanging around here. We saw it on two seperate days. It would just stand and look at us. However, it was not so brave when the dog discovered it.

For the flock cert. every bird on the yard over 4 mos of age is tested yearly for I believe the next five years and then after that it is a percentage but I don't remember. If you have a flock certification you also have permission to use the NPIP logo when you sell birds or eggs. Just adds a little value to the product. Plus the flock cert. is good for a full year where the ind. tested bird is only good for I think 90 days.

Al that project sounds like fun, my passion is older trucks such as the B model Mack or the old Needle-nose Petes with the butterfly hoods. Right now I am working on a Nissan pick-up for Teva to drive. It has the "Z" engine in it and should be a good runner.
