I am a bit mad, it seems that only certain people get a response on this board. If you write on another forum they always respond and I get great feedback. On here if you don't have a certain screen name you can post for weeks and it is like you never said a word. I felt this when I first joined and I decided to not post on this board anymore but, I needed a couple of eggs for my little girl to sit because my chickens are not 6 months yet and I don't have many layers and when they do lay they are inconsistent.

I have a few neighbors with chickens and I am going to ask them for a couple eggs. So that is the nevermind. But, this might be a warning in the future for all of the other members. We don't post and we tend to lurk because you all never care to respond anyway.

Well I vented so its done. Have a nice night.

Hi, My neighbor (JW Vance) has a daughter that teaches at Sequoyah. I doubt I'll be able to make it to POOPS, I deal poker at River Spirit Casino & work weekends, I'm off on Monday/Tuesday (rats!). But I do hope I can come out & meet you & your chickens one day.

Matt--It's a small world. That would be Becky Prather. She just happens to be married to my cousin. LOL I would love to meet you sometime. Right now if I don't get to bed the kids are going to be teaching me. LOL NIght and talk to you soon.

Andis--I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I know when I first started I felt a little that way. But you have to realize a lot of these folks live near each other. I figured out that I just had to keep posting and jumping in on whatever the topic was and now I feel right at home. For me it was that I didn't know anyone and when I went to our POOPS this last spring I met some of them and now I can't wait to meet more of them.

These folks really are great people. I know that you've not been ignored intentionally. I've not seen you on here before and I get on everyday. Please don't take it personally. Come back and visit with the people.

Andrea.....

I am sorry that you haven't got the responce you were looking for. I have been a on the board for a long time and just lurk most of the time. This board moves so fast sometimes it just takes time. If you don' t get an answer, post it again and someone will have an answer.

My chickens are young and won't start laying for another month or two but I can come up with some eggs if you are close to Tulsa.

Charley.

Good MOrning All--If anyone has an extra turner for the foam bators and you want to get it out of the way please let me know and bring it to POOPS so I can buy it!!!!I am sick of turning eggs. I wouldn't make a very good hen I guess. LOL

Andi - I had to look back to see what you were looking for - hatching eggs. I am not in the Tulsa area, so didn't respond to your request. As a practical matter, your broody hen will stay broody for awhile so you have a week or two to find her some hatching eggs. Just remove the small one she is setting in when you place a dozen hatching eggs beneath her, or remove the chick from the small egg when it hatches and brood it separate, so she doesn't leave her nest.

Hope this helps a little.

WHO IS IN THE TULSA/SAPULPA are that can help Andisgarden out with some hatching eggs?

Sorry in Tuttle and no Roo so no fertile eggs I have to hunt them too. If you all have Atwoods there go ask their chicken person. I was looking for some once and had good luck that way. Maybe ask at the feed store too. Surely there is someone on here around Tulsa. Good luck Andisgarden.

I'm in the Tulsa area and might be able to help her if she wants silkies, showgirls, or guinea fowl. Most of my hens are either broody or aren't with roos, but maybe I could come up with a few.

This is the first time I've seen her post, but I'm fairly new also. I do have several friends nearby who probably have other types of chicken eggs they'd be willing to give her.
