The judge loves OEGB. It probably has the most birds of any of the classes as well. Some of the competition spends TONS on their birds too. The amount paid made my jaw drop!

All of that makes it a very tough class.

The OEGB have pretty much taken up most of the show cages at the poultry shows I've been to. I guess it's not necessarily a bad thing, but gosh... I'd like to see some of the other breeds exhibited too. Especially the oriental games.

I'm getting a special tee shirt made that says "Friend of Graceful Bantams and Dandelions"! I am so proud of both of you! And thanks to all you Okie BYC'ers who helped (Carla, Okiehen, Buckguy - and probably many others!).

Henny - thanks so much for posting pics of your birds - I really enjoy looking at everyone else's clucks.

Congrats and super job.

I am thinking of bringing these for the kids at poops. Get sponge wet, wring out and pull down string. Sounds like a chicken clucking. What do you all think???? Cindy

Grace - That list is "awesome".....and "FANTASTIC" !!!!!!!!!!
YOU GO GIRL !!!!!!!

Quenston - Tell Carolyn.....I think I've got this figured out.......
When they call and come to your place to buy chickens, they
don't bring any with them....... Thus, you can "sell" and the
guys can't "buy".....LOL But, didn't sell nearly enough
of 'em today for Na-Na. Did help some.....LOL

Guess the kids will be showing in the Cherokee County Fair
next Friday night. Will let y'all know how we do.

Heads up....they say Oklahoma is gonna "slosh" all weekend.

Have a good one !

sounds like you have a great vet. Around OKC it is hard to find a vet that will even look at a chicken, let alone help you get it to OSU for a post-mortem. I will be curious to know what the diagnosis turns out to be. I suspect all of us have had respiratory problem birds at some point and it is difficult to decide how to medicate them, and whether they have a problem that is reportable.
