You won't have to dress up for incubator building day! Just some overalls and underpants. Maybe a beater T shirt.

Sooner, I candle at 3 days for fun. On certain types of eggs I can see veining that early, though it certainly isnt much. I candle again at 7 and if any are clear they are trash. If any are ??? I wait till day 10 and if I dont see anything convincing, it goes out. You can also candle your eggs before putting them in your bator, its a great way to check air cells and see if the egg is cracked beforehand. I have hatched an egg that had a slight crack in it though, once in myh bator and once under a hen (both this year).

Once upon a time there was a chicken man that wanted to concentrate on breeding and raising no more than four breeds of chickens.
However he owns 12 brood roosters!
So what do you think he should do?

Monty....Thank you so much also...I didn't have a clue what else to do but call someone that was way more experienced than me. I guess I'll get this stuff one of these days.

Oh, that brings back some great memories. When I was in Germany, there were Turks who made the best gyros. They slow cooked a spindle of meat which had goat, sheep and beef sliced into strips and intermittently layered. As they cooked, the juices would run down over the other meat. They would slice the meat in front of you and stuff it into the pita bread and put cucumber slices, tomatoes, lettuce and goat cheese on it. Then there was this amazing yogurt dressing they put on it. And of course you got a pickle and fries. I've always been let down every time I have ordered a gyro here in the States.

Makes you want to fly back for a day...

Now I have a flood of good food memories from Europe. It's amazing with all the greasy and high fat foods that they weigh so much less than us.

And the McDonald's was comical. Of course, it's against the law to drink and drive there too. However, you could get draft beer in the drive thru. McDonald's serving beer!

Eh, eventually I might go to bed...

At POOPS Mike was talking about a bird selling for $2100 at a show... I've heard that moderns and other game birds sell like that. Anyone have any idea what shows they are talking about???

Ha! That's when I turn on the tube and try to find somethnig to watch. I took a long nap, but I'm actually startin to get pretty tired. When its late and I want to start digging through the fridge, that's when I know I need to go to sleep!
