Nope, that is a 100% pure Law Grey. He is the brood cock that produced the eggs I have in my incubator that will hatch on Nov 6th. I'm going to keep a pure bloodline out of him.

Hi Donna!!

Not sure how you want to get started or what your budget is. As you already know I use a 10 x 16 storage shed as my hen house, it was here on the property when I bought the place & JW Vance came over with his tractor and moved it to where I wanted it for me, so I have no money in it at all. However.....

If I had it to do all over again AND I wanted to keep my breeds seperate I would start with one of these:

I went to that place that sells the wood buildings, across from the movies in Claremore. For a 10 x 16 wood building they want almost $2700. The building in this photo is 18 x 21 and cost me $2000 installed. I'd use the remaining $700 to build the outside runs and inside coops & would have a bigger, better, facility. You can get this at a place on 412 between here and Inola. It took them about four days to get to building mine, 4 guys out of Texas showed up and had it done start to finish in 3 hours (I knew them Texans was good for somethin). My storage problems are history, but now I want another one for chickens.... it never stops.

Ah. An in-law. That explains it.

All the more reason not to fret.

Yes, I saw all that junk back there when we were house hunting. When we made an offer on the place, one of the conditions was they haul all that stuff off. No wonder they turned down our offer.

We are just now getting around to hauling off the junk in the back of this HUD repo we bought. Taken us that long!

Why do country people use their own property for a dumping ground?

I have shingles!!! Hubby bought me shingles!!!

You are in the wrong business.

LOL!! That made me laugh, I'm from a long line of painters & carpenters and as I sit here and think about it there are very few men in my family that are anything but painters & carpenters. I may be the only one left, lol.

If anyone on this Okie thread wants one of these PM me and we'll talk about it. I can probably build one a week in my spare time and let it go at a reasonable price.
