Well, since it appears that I'm the only one awake and getting myself into trouble, I'm gonna attempt to sleep. Still gotta shingle a coop roof tomorrow, and put on the hardware cloth. Hey, 1 inch square hardware cloth is good enough for chicks, right? Brain apparently fried a couple hours ago... otherwise I wouldn't have changed my signature line

Good morning Okies, I know im being premature as its only about 3:30 am but sense im still up i figured what the hay. I did make it to walmart and bought a can of coffee grounds and some french vanilla creamer, already drunk a pot tonite! Had to have my fix. Been watching movies wiht the girls and watching them play beatles rock band.

Mornin Ya'll,

So my Roundhead hatch is over. I have 4 RH chicks, looks like two boys and two girls. Also hatched 1 Pinnon Gray. Next to hatch is the Law Gray eggs on Nov. 6th.

This morning I took the chicks into the garage and put them in the brooder with the 28 OEGB's and say one of the bantams fly up to the edge of the brooder box!! They sure do grow feathers quick, maybe I hatched some Super Chickens or something. So, add another chore to the list for today. I'll have to clean out and make ready the larger/deeper brooder out in the shed and move the bantams out there. The new chicks look really good, nice & healthy.

Also going to be worming the entire flock today (except for the chicks) with Wazine. I took everyone's water away last night. Looks like I picked a good day for working outside, cold & windy here, I really hate winter.

I've been at work for the past 45 minutes. I hope today flies by. Guy behind me found out on Saturday that his daughter has swine flu... she had to have breathing treatments on Saturday but appears to be better this morning. I've got my fingers crossed for her (she's 4) and I'm also hoping that he doesn't give it to us.

Glad to hear that the auctioneer's sister in law is doing better. Folks don't realize that out-of-control asthma can kill you.

I won the Halloween figurines and since I don't bother to decorate for the holidays, the figurines went home with Henny - who does take the time to decorate. So yes, the BYC members took home a door prize.

Hope the little girl is doing better. Glad her parents didn't delay in getting her some help with her breathing.

Is your new avatar a picture of a tattoo on a foot? Ouch!

Yeah, his daughter has asthma, that's not something they play with in the slightest.

Yes, the new avatar is my foot tattoo. Didn't hurt much, but it sure swelled up for a week afterwards! Something about the vibration makes the cartilage swell like it has been sprained.

I think you've said before if the Law Grays are standards or bantams. Are any of the chicks going to be for sale? If they're bantams, I'd be interested.

The Laws are all standards. I will have some bantams of various pure breeds for sale after the first of the year. I know that I'm keeping the BB Red, Crele, and Silver Duckwing chicks that I hatched recently and will sell the rest but not 100% sure just yet.

Glad to hear the auctioneer's SIL is doing better.
Jerry you work way too hard at the auction. Make some of those youboys that were standing around carry cages and you stand up front and catch bids.
. I am sure there aare some folks that could tell you what your hen is, even if she is just a mix.
Thanks for welcoming our BYC folks, we had a good sized group there and I think all had a good time.

Hope to see you at the next one if I can make it.
Monty
