Here is a list of our people that were at Blanchard on Saturday.

GB1, Michael, Marybeth, Al, Monty, Teach, Shawn, Carla, Gerald, Henny, Mike, Buster and his DW and brother, and Jerry. Plus three boys that had a blast.
Lil Teach, Lil Shidalgo, and Lil Buckguy.
Eighteen with BYC connections. Hope I didn't leave any one off.

MAllen,
Have you ever heard of Schroyer Greys? I had one when I was a teenager and I was so proud of him because I could show people his picture in the gamebird magazines. He wasn't in there of course but he looked just like all of the others there.
To be honest, looking back now I don't what really he was, only that the guy I got him from told me that it was a Schroyer Grey from Louisiana and said I could read about them in the gamebird books. I remember thinking how cool I was to have a famous rooster.

TJ's Na-Na :

Shavon - I mailed a letter/pictures addressed to "Lauren" Friday....
Figured she'd get a kick out of a letter addressed to "her".....

Q - I mailed a couple of pictures to you/Carolyn Friday as well.
I had a couple of pictures of "both" of you with the quilt!

I need to mail Monty a cheesecake! Hope I don't forget.

Hi, I don't recall that particular breed but that's not unusualy for me, my memory is not what it used to be. I'll have to look back in the Gamecock magazines next time I'm at my brother's place & see if I can find them. One of the bad things about the law that went into effect a few years ago is that many of the former top breeds are all but gone and those bloodlines that were not considered top pit breeds nationally but still nice regional birds are gone for good.

Hey Monty : Doing Ok no headache, I had some Tylenol in my truck and took some before I left, Didn't want to drive an hour in the dark with limited vison and a banging headache. You know me always prepared LOL. Bummed out this morning nothing planned for the work week and my Business phone w/cobb webs on it, I am getting worried.

Al You must post a lot on other threads, How in the world did you get so far ahead of me.

The Amish are very fascinating to me. My great grandparents were Mennonites from Pennsylvania Dutch (Amish) country in Pennsylvania. (For anyone who doesn't know, the Mennonites are like the Amish, but aren't as religiously strict.)

We ate a lot of PA Dutch recipes growing up, made by my grandmother, and I have really good memories of the funny stories they told me of their parents and grandparents.

Hola Peeps

How's everybody? I am getting ready to start up my Monday chores...It is awesome out...need to go hiking...to pretty to be locked up! Cold, grey blustery fall day.... was thinking of making ham and beans for dinner...or split pea....Don't like doing split pea unless I have a big hambone with lits of meat on it....

I went to lock up hens last night and smelled something burning...

...my mid-sized peeps had jumped up on the brooder and were cuddling up against the light and had burnt their tail feathers off....Stooges... had to rework the whole coop at 9:00 pm to make sure teenagers didn't burn their vertical smiles off...

Shawn :
I know that really sucks, I really felt bad for him and angry that it happened, there was no call for that sort of thing to happen. I hope it didn't sour his or your opinion of coming with us to other auctions in the future.

Yes that is what we do best. But with this Economy faultering Folks are being pretty tight fisted and are holding off on any major expenditures when it comes their homes with prices of real estate plummeting.
