I want to come to your house!

I just picked up the Seramas from the Post Office. The girls are gonna love these birds.

The biggest one is a whopping 12.4 ounces and the smallest girl is 9.4 ounces! So they would be Class A's by the charts. Not sure if there will be much opportunities for procreating.

But they will definitely be great show birds. The cocks had super short backs. I'll get pictures up later. One good thing. Serama colors don't breed true so they can all go in one pen. One pair is a Blue Creme color and the other pair is a Dark Crele.

Oh and Grace, I could get 8 of those in one of my show boxes!

Dashunds- Thank you for the pouter info, they look different!

Betsyok- Thank you for the hova-bator info. I think I am going to get one. It appeared better than the regular forced air hova-bator, and now I am convinced!

Mornin'! So how is everyone on this beautiful fall day?

Me, I'm doing great! Asked for the day off at the last minute just so I could have a three day weekend working on the farm. I realized there were no auctions this weekend, so that means no interruptions on the work.

We decided to wait a bit on the freezer camp thing. Forgot we had wormed them not all that long ago and have to wait the required two weeks plus one extra week to be safe. So, it's all yard work and fencing and winterizing and building catfish tractors and giant incubators if I can get around to it.

So what's the difference between a "regular forced air hova-bator" and a Genesis? They look about the same to me.

That wind has a bitter nip to it today... went outside to smoke, had to put on my gloves, then decided the cigarette wasn't worth it.

Maybe I'll actually be able to quit smoking if it gets cold enough. I'm too wimpy to go smoke in the cold. Feeding the animals doesn't bother me... but I don't like going outside for myself.

I have gotten one picture of the Seramas so far. This is the light blue creme cock. He is 11.9 ounces. I'll get pictures of the other ones after I get their cage finished.

I think I'm the odd one out, here. [Like I even have to mention it?]

On the cold thing, I mean. I do a lot better working in the cold than the heat. I figure in the cold I can just add layers. In the heat, there is only so much you can do and still not scare the neighbors.

Oh I prefer being cold to being hot. However... I have to be doing something to be out in the cold. I'm the same way about being out in 100+ degree heat... there's got to be justification for it.

Teach: so true about dumb questions! I've had my fair share. By the way, I think one of my students is dating one of your students. I'll have to ask her how they met b/c there's quite a distance between hooker and wayne!
