Good afternoon everyone!!! Fishing was great....... but the catching wasnt worth a darn!!!!!! The wind is blowing hard today last report of gusts was 57mph but the temp is 77 so it is a beautiful day!!! Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Well I got the job I applied for. I guess they liked me so much, I got promoted before I even started! I will start working there after Lauren's surgery in December. The only problem is I have to be at work at 4:00 in the morning and the shifts are 14 hrs. long. Oh well, at least its only 3 days a week.

Roy, I'm thinking about you and your family. I pray that your dad goes easily. It is always hard when someone we care about is sick.

On another high note, my grandma is doing a lot better. She is feeling good and was actually able to talk on the phone today. She said that she has been able to get up and move around and has even taken short trips outside. I still haven't been abe to see her because we have been sick. She is planning on heading south this weekend for a short vacation. Hopefully we will all be better by the time she gets back at the end of the month.

Henny, I'm so sory about your girl. Hopefully she will pull through just fine.

Well my ventures in the yard didn't last long... Apparently I'm allergic to something growing near the 4 o'clocks; my arms are all red and swollen.

No, I'm still pretty sure that adorable little Silkie is a hen. Betsy said she thought so too. But I was thinking, she's just so darn cute, she might need to reproduce someday.

Hey if you think Okie is offensive, a few of my inlaws think the term 'redneck' is something to brag about. I don't know about ya'll, but I thought that one was to be an insult.

But I guess if you look at it historically, there's something about rednecks being a select few who didn't run from a certain battle... I'm not much into history.

Actually, the term redneck referred to coal miners who marched through the Appalachian mountains to (I forget which city) to protest mining conditions and the treatment of miners. They were red bandanas around their necks to identify themselves.

Well folks, my DH Gerald is not feeling better ... actually feeling worse ... so we're sitting at an ER. He's complaining about pressure behind his right eye that is hurting really bad still and still having tingling on his left side. Anyway, I gave him one of my migraine pain pills and he's still saying it hurts really bad. Well, he could be coming down with the flu ... I hear it sometimes starts out as a bad headache. So, to make sure it isn't something more serious, here we wait. Luckily, I have my laptop computer with me!
