I should stay away from auctions. I went to this one planning on not buying anything, and came home with two roos.

But if you guys are going to one, I would like to try to meet up. There's stronger will in numbers. *haha*

Luvz - What all are you hatching?

Grace - We checked eggs again last night. One of the three Hamburgs is growing, and 3 of the 6 Millies are. We decided the mystery egg was a Millie.

I went to check on the newbies after dark, and of course the goofy birds were sleeping outside on the grass. I picked them up and put em there in their roosting place. They are very sweet birds, and don't mind me petting them. The La Fleche is beautiful, but I noticed today that he has no nail on one toe, and the rest are REALLY long, need a trim. The Polish seems kinda... well, retarded.

Maybe its the feathers in the eyes.

The devil bird is a La Fleche, right? The previous owners told me it was a Crevecour...

Hey all Okies, I forgot to tell you, if any of you are interested in my breeder's eggs I will sell them to you for 50 cents an egg. Unless you can't pick them up, then it will be the cost of shipping (assuming shipping's more.)

O KI have 8 more cochins due to hatch over the next week and a half by then I should have 16 Hinkj EE eggs then in Middle of month 12 POlish eggs. Then this morning I just found out I won a dozen hatching eggs, not sure the breed yet. I am glad that my hubbie is starting to learn to live with them and love them a little.

Petlove, I know that in my town you aren't really supposed to have farm animals, but it's fine as long as the neighbors don't complain. That's what the Dog-catcher said, at least....


Cammie, glad the auction went well, but sorry about the family/bird trouble; I know how you feel!
I hope you at least get a couple of chicks out of that batch of eggs I'm glad that some are developing, but I was hoping they would do better... Oh, I have a question, you said "3 Hamburgs... 6 Millies", wasn't it 4 and 4 (well, plus the mystery egg you decided was a d'Uccle)?

Well, it really looks like 3 Hamburgs and 6 Millies, but some of the color may just be poo.

I think they were doing ok until the bator went on the fritz. I bought a new 'thermometer disk' thingy for grandmas incubator, and it works great now! So until she decides to hatch guineas, I've got TWO bators to fill!

HA! I know, you're right...

But I just found someone that I want to buy Ameraucana eggs from!

I'm going to try raising some of my chicks and selling them at the Cement auction in a couple months. That's what the extra bator will be used for I guess...

I will have to look at the eggs again, but I bet you're right. But that's good, because maybe then I could at least get a couple Hamburgs out of them!
