I still have a cold, but Gerald & I are going to bundle up & go to a high school football playoff tonight. I'd better take lots of cold medicine before I head out though. I sure don't want to share this cold with anyone.

Been gone most of the day and my limping hen is worse. Her hock is swelling now. I had her in a cage all day...not helping. Then my chicken with the abscess is limping..ever since I took the scab off she has gone downhill. Shoulda just left it alone

Hi guys- we got 5 inches in three hours, yes we have a wet weather 'creek', but it was really going! and it basically cuts the property in half when it rains hard- so i thought, none of the chickens will go over it this afternoon, they'll stay on this side... all but one did, that darn sugar..she is an indepenent thinker... or maybe ADD, she couldn't remember how she got over to the 'wrong' side and while everyone else gladly went into the run after i had worked on it to clear some of the water, she stands there dripping and looking miserable...so i call and call...no luck, finally she comes halfway and i end up wading in and grabbing her... for once she didn't mind... so how was everyones day??
