I am ready to go home! This getting dark early stuff is the bits! We blew a water something or other this afternoon. The elementary end of the school got flooded and the water is off. Gotta love it!

Hey Grace,

Not sure but this may be in reference to my question, but I am not sure because I was asking about the auction in Blanchard. I wasn't sure if there would be a large selection of poultry at the auction in Blanchard or what. I was definitely hoping there would be at the show. Which I am planning on attending as long as nothing major happens or a huge ice storm doesn't come in. I need to build back up my chicken supply and feed my addiction. I am going nutty like the squirrels outside. I need to get my chicken fix! Now that we were wiped out, I have been thinking on what breeds we liked the most. We had several kinds of bantams, but my DD and I seem to be more partial to the feather feeted varieties. So I think we are going to be on the lookouts for Cochins and D'Uccles. Can't really afford to get a whole lot, but I think we will try and get a few of those breeds. We are thinking of working with the Giants for the Cochins, and then a MF D'Uccle hen (maybe two), and a set of Porcelain D'Uccles. In the Cochins, I think we will be looking for any of the following: Splash, Blue, GL, Mottled (if they are any in Giants), and perhaps Buff Columbian. I think the Cochins I received from another member on here might all be roos, they are not crowing, but looking at the pics of the GL they have more of the colorations of the roos than the hens, either way we love them and think they are all very beautiful. I will have to get some pics and post and see if anybody else can tell me for certain. They are approximately 5 months old. So we are thinking of working on the 'Blue Laced Red' Cochin and the MF Cochins projects and from what I have read they could be possibly used in both.

Add two to the list for the Mexican place, for my daughter Charlotte and I. We love Mexican food!

Stupid polar bears...they eat some rotten stuff cause there is a stank in the air and the only thing that would be out in this cold is a polar bear...or folks feeding their chickens...stupid frozen waters

Teach you have to watch it when you wearing all them layers of clothes,no where for the stank to go except around the neck!

LOL the elementary end? Elementary and high school are in the same building? Just how many students are in your school system? I thought I lived in a small town.

we have about 93 kids pre-K to 12th...the cafeteria splits the school between little kids and big kids! Well mostly...they cross over for PE, music, and the big kids go over for newspaper and senior English...

that comment about the stank coming up around the collar might be a little to close to home!

It will take them a few days to heal up. They will look very nasty before then though. Be sure to check their feet and legs over good as a fight through the wire can tear them up big time.

Well they changed Teva's schedule so we won't be able to attend Shawnee this year. Pipes froze up last night so all in all it's been a banner week for me.

On a bright note though the eggs that we got from Carla are starting to hatch!

Wow it is COLD!!!But I am not gonna go on whining about it like Teach does!!!!

I think that we are all ready to head to Shawnee Friday afternoon, my DW and DD wanted me to ask about the Shawnee Mall? There I asked about it.

Edited to ask the right question about the mall!! What stores are there in this mall??
