Wat birds do you like. Mustang is getn spred out. The last time i went thew i seen on the side of the road eggs for sale. IM glad they let you keep birds ther.

I think I have more than I'm supposed to. When I moved there my neighbor told me that Mustang allowed chickens. I was on the internet that night looking for chicks to buy. A couple of days ago my wife was looking up city ordinances and told me that we are only supposed to have like four adult and 12 young. What do you think? Free eggs to all code enforcement officers? A nice Christmas stocking full of goodies sent to their home?

In Cleveland, a very small farm town. You are only allowed to have two of anything. Only two dogs, two cats, two chickens, two horses (but you have to have an acre per horse). It is very strange. In Dallas I think you were allowed to have up to 4 dogs. So I asked, what if you are on over 15 acres, the same thing applies, I think it is very stupid, but luckily for me I am just outside of the city limits or so I have been told.

I have the same problem with my daughters birthday. Not all the family but mostly on my husbands side think it is all right to just get her one small gift. But last year came the real kicker when we went to Christmas at his parents and his sister (who is very well off and was guilty of the one present) didn't even get her one gift at all. We sat there watching all of them opening gifts even the gifts that we carefully selected for them and they couldn't even get our daughter a gift for Christmas or her birthday. We left and our daughter was upset and had lots of questions, of course, we told her it was all right and that she will get lots of other gifts and that is not the reason for Xmas, lawdy dawdy da. This year I don't even want to go to their get together, it only seems depressing watching them open expensive gifts for each other and opening gifts we get them and not one for our daughter. Oh I guess I should mention they don't even have any other nieces or nephews or children of their own to have to buy for.

I wish the gift thing for Christmas would go away. Seriously. At least, I think the gifts for adults would go away. The "reason for the season" isn't what you can buy for each other, it's what you can DO for each other, such as loving each other, spending time together, relishing family and friends relationships and bonds. I can see getting presents for children, but more like what my family does during Sukkot and Hanukkah, which are small *useful* presents, not big money on the toy of the season or name brand whatever. When the gifts and the $$ spent get in the way of the "spirit of the season", then I think those things need to go away.

Of course, that *doesn't* mean that I don't still want chickens for my birthday

I've been so overwhelmed with class this past week, but its finally over! Til next week. Lol
I've been doing much better, just sleeping all the time. I haven't even had time to check on my chickies.

My dad has been sweet enough to feed and water them. He said they're running around happy, so I don't feel too bad.
We are getting ready for our FOP party right now, Clark's frying a turkey. Thankfully he's a volunteer firefighter, so I'm not too worried.

Anyone get any snow or anything this past week? The biggest problem around here is the stupid sprinkler systems that run over night and freeze all down the street. Lol

I think he was wondering why they put a cup holder on computers when they sit on a desk. He is also curious about those CD things and had thought his computer played them but can't figure out where to stick them...been looking for that turn table and the needle but guesses it was forgotten. He is also very irritated because his daughter wrote a paper on it the other day and well she doesn't spell real good and now there is white out all over the screen.

At least that is what Monty said his questions were...Q confirmed it though so...
