I am in Moore. "They" say fertility/hatchability/livability rates are low in serama and that shipping eggs through the mail makes it even worse. You are welcome to look at my birds anytime you are in Moore. I only have 6...a trio of silkied that I bought from W. Virginia, and a trio of normal feathered that I bought from Florida. I have them at my work. I am here from daylight to dark and I would never see them awake if I had them at home. I put them to roost before I head home in the evening and I flip the light switch to wake them up before daylight each morning.

Yeah Charley and I have big plans for the Cornish community if only we could get some numbers on the ground and really get after some hatching and culling. I am working on developing my own line, Charley has recently aquired some good stock also.

AL

Al - did you by chance talk with Doug Connely from Amarillo? He and the man Ipointed out that has moderns also do the cornish thing.

Country is back!!! Yeah!!! Glad to hear yuo are just baout back to your old self. I am still my old silly self!

I have birds again!!! It was awsome watching them yesterday. It was neat. I spread water dishes all over the area so they could just find them and not worry about fighting over water after the trip. I have a couple more pick-ups to make...and then wait for the spring and see who is in love!!! Then I cull and do that number! I already put a notify me in to Ideal so i can begin the great Arnold bird campaign! okay so I want some cornish baking birds...gonna do the rotisserie thing and such...

So if we are doing this BYC barn raising and BBQ Al is providing the chicken for the cookout right?

Are you kidding me!!!! You were my partner in crime this weekend. Recovered my tail...due to your knowledge of fellow addicts I chased all over east of the city yesterday and ended up buying 8 more birds!!!! But I'm sure glad you shared. LOL AND NO, I DO NOT TRUST YOU....OR ANY OF THE REST OF US ON HERE FOR THAT MATTER!!!! Remember we are the enablers.

Now this sounds very bad. I did two things, just like you asked. I found you a Welsummer rooster and I found you some Partridge Cochin hens. Everything else is on you. I in noooo way enticed you to buy up half of the birds in East Oklahoma County. Remember you didn't bring the trailer because you weren't gonna buy much.
Just like with my DW, I did everything asked of me and I am still in trouble.
A poor ole recovered addict doesn't stand a chance in this cruel world. Makes a man want to fall off the wagon and go buy some birds.

I'm skeered that you'll want my birds. LOL Or you might start coveting them....you know we ain't supposed to covet our neighbors stuff...LOL

I know where Donna lives and she has some really nice
birds including ducks and turkeys. For a price I could give directions, for a better price I could drive the get-a-way truck

Hey Teach,

How are you doing? Are you keeping all those kiddos in line? Or are they running around like chickens with their heads cut off, chanting chick chick Christmas time, chick chick Christmas time, cant concentrate, presents under trees? LOL I know my husband is about ready to strangle a few.

Again thank you for the cages! Did you make them yourself? I may need to get more from you again in the future.

Anyways, did you see my questions for you earlier about the pigeons? I am trying to figure everything out and get them their own facilities going. I haven't done as much today as I planned, GF called in sobs about her and her BF, she had to dump him Long story. Anyways, I just got back on here to do more studying and catching up on this forum. Everybody is talking lots today and it looks like I have been missing out on all kinds of fun.

By the way it was so great to get to meet everybody and put faces to the names, although I am not sure if I remember everybody's names like City, I think that is whom seems to remember everybody's first name. Sorry for those of you who I didn't get to meet. Charlotte asked me last night when the next show is. I think I have created a monster. We were out in the barn last night playing with all of the chickens and the pigeons. She might even love them more than I do. She was telling her daddy we could keep some of them in the house. Of course, he was like no birds in the house. Then as a smart girl that she is, she said, but daddy we already have birds in the house. They are just still in their eggs, hehehehe. I love that little smart aleck.

I hope everybody is having a great day!

Kate

p.s.

Al, I looked at your incubator. Yes it was the one I was thinking about and have admired it for some time now and studied it pretty intensively, I just don't always look at the names or remember who makes what, plus I didn't know you yet. I would like to make something very similar, now I just need to keep a look out for a cabinet that will work. I really love the egg on top of the tube. Each time I look at it I get a kick out of that egg on top of the tube. I am hoping it is some sort of ceramic egg though, unless you keep replacing the egg.
