Oh yeah, I remember watching a discovery channel special on that. Thanks, but I rather prefer that my coffee beans don't make any side trips between the plant and the roaster.

Just thought you'd have some fun with that one to start your morning off on the right foot.

Oh, I forgot to tell y'all this story last night.

Bear in mind that J says that he doesn't much care about the chickens. When asked, he'll say "Yeah, they're chickens" and go back to whatever he's doing.

The one EE mutt that I kept from the original hatch 5 1/2 weeks ago has been in the mudroom in a rabbit cage. My daughter plays with her a lot and she's not that flighty or whatnot. So around 4ish yesterday I'm trying to get all the animals fed before I have to get to the 2nd job, and she literally jumps out of the cage as soon as I pop the lid, hops up the stairs from the mudroom to the kitchen, skitters *through* the kitchen at breakneck speed, rounds the corner to the couch in the living room, and leaps right into J's lap! At which time she fluffed up her feathers, laid down quietly, and made very light clicking noises.

I thought I was going to fall over laughing. The amazing part is J let her sit there for a good 10 minutes until he had to get up and go get the kiddos from their after-school programs. I put her back in her cage and she didn't fuss at me after that.

The Act does not prohibit the sale of eggs produced on a farm directly to consumers,
where the hens are maintained on the farm from which the eggs are sold. Oklahoma
producers of ungraded eggs selling eggs of their own flock production are exempt from the
provisions of the Act.

Kinda confusing

Science Channel has a program called, "How It's Made', and they go through all the steps that is used to bring you a NORMAL cup of coffee, no side trips.
When we lived in Oklahoma city, I delivered at least two dozen 5 gal. bottles of distilled water to the Cains Coffee Plant between Edmond and Okc, and saw the tasting room and the roasters just like what is shown in the show. also saw them unloading skids of Piles of coffee fresh from Brazil.

Here's what you can do. Sell your eggs to your "customer", from your farm. What your "customer" does with them afterwards is out of your hands. Or, you can call the state ag department and ask them for clarification.

Roy,

You have (that I know of):

Mille Fleur d'uccle

Splash or very light blue Mille Fleur d'uccle

Porcelain d'uccle

You could get a regular Mille Fleur d'uccle rooster to cover all of them, the babies from the Porcelain would be split for the porcelain color and look like regular mille fleurs. You could breed the sons back to the mothers and get some pure porcelains again, or breed sibling to sibling. Porcelain is lavender on the mille fleur pattern.

Using a regular Mille Fleur d'uccle rooster with the splash or light blue hen would give you (if she is splash) all blue mille fleur offspring, or (if she is blue) blue and regular mille fleur offspring.

Clear as mud?
