If this little one jas wry neck, he's probably pretty unhappy, but not necessarily suffering in pain. Make sure he's getting fluids and some crumbles softened into a runny mash. You can administer both by laying some liquid alongside its' beak. The chick will swallow it reflexively. You can also put in a small cup, like a little margarine tub with low sides, lined with paper towel. Keep an eye on the temps, so it doesn't overheat. Those red lamps can get pretty hot and the baby won't be able to move away.

I gave 1cc orally per the bottle’s instructions (1cc-3cc daily during times of stress). Should I give the maximum amount of 3cc tonight? At what point should I start to see improvement if there’s going to be any?

Another chick has hatched and appears completely normal. I do believe they have different mamas.

@Debbie292d I was hunting guidance for wry neck in chicks on here and saw a thread where you had commented that you would not cull for wry neck (I can’t find it right this instant to comment there). I’m curious how long you administered vitamins before seeing results? (I’m doing a total of 2cc of poultry cell a day via syringe and alternating between doses and plain water) there are moments when the little guy seems decent! Holds the neck up a bit more, is able to stay right side up rather than spending most of its time on its back. But this progress seems short lived. To be fair, last night was the first time I was able to get vitamins in it as it hatched in the morning and then someone was able to drop poultry cell off to me in the evening. How long should I expect to provide ICU care () until the little one shows some lasting improvement?

Do I need anything poultry specific? I just went to our feed store and they didn’t have vitamin b. Can I get something for humans and give it to them? The chick that hatched this morning/ last night just chirps and chirps and I wonder if I need to cull so he isn’t suffering.
