Good Morning Okies,

It seems a little more gloomy out today. I probably won't get to be on here much this weekend. We will be leaving in about an hour for a very busy day at the ballet. Charlotte has two performances today. She had one last night and came home on a huge ballet high. She was dancing all over the place, not just reimitating her part, but other parts of the 'Nutcracker' too. She just loves it! We had to try and bring her down so that we could get her to bed to rejuvenate for today's performances. This is going to be a long weekend, although once it is done I have my family all to myself. Hehehe, that means I can put them to work.

Get more done around this here small farm of ours. Well, I hope everybody has a great weekend before Xmas! I will try and get on in the late evenings if I am not passed out myself.

I know, seriously! I was thinking something like that last night, too. He was cracking me up.

Hey ya'll!
Sorry about your Autumn, Stray.

Robin, you did the best thing with the rooster - try not to feel guilty - I'm sure I'm not the only one here who thinks you did the right thing. Be relieved that you and your family aren't being held hostage and threatened by him any longer!

Okay then, it's gray and windy and icky here, but above freezing, so I will be outside if anyone needs me.

Just wanted to drop by and wish everyone "MERRY CHRISTMAS
AND HAPPY NEW YEAR" !!!!!!!!!!

We finally got the new fans put in the pellet stove............
was like standing on your head putting new rings in
a 350 short block..........in a mailbox................. But,
is warm and toasty in the house now..........LOL

Pa-Pa and the kids are up town doing their Christmas
shopping. Like a dummy, I handed them MY bank card....
Will probably regret that one........ I have to make a
run to Muskogee this afternoon for one more thing,
but then will be done !!! YEA ! Well, except for the
cooking end of this deal.............

Think we've got the birds sealed up for this next
round of weather. Sounds like we'd better have all
our necessary stuff laid in before next Wednesday.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend !!!!!

Great to hear from you again, hasn't been the same without you. How's Bill doing ??. I am sure that if you gave those Kids of yours your bank card they will spend most of it on you, it just sounds like Kendra & TJ. What are you cooking ??

Howdy, nearby-living person. I have the birds all loaded up in the truck along with all the necessary equipment and utensils. Getting ready to lock up the dogs (they get very upset when I hurt their charges), drive out to the back barn and process some birds.

Wish me luck!

Just returned from the dump!$17 later we are doing swell, except to come home and see a letter from our mortgage company saying they have to increase our mortgage payment in February because our Property tax has gone up ect which caused the escrow to be very short.... See what happens when you clean up a dump it goes the taxes go from $730 to $1,194 in a da*n year... ARGGGGG I hate it.... all we have done is pick up the garbage and crap in the yard...

Jeannie : thats why Elgins property taxes are almost the highest in the state, Mostly because of Elgins schools. I don't mind though this Elgin school system is head over heals above the Oklahoma National avg, which as of last yr hovers near the very bottom 3 of the worst educated children in the country. Elgin schools was the only school in the entire state that even qualified to send kids to the national math compition.

Ok done for now sorry.

Bill's doin' fine. Has done super after the hand surgery....
provided I can catch him and cut him off at the pass when
he heads out to do stuff he isn't supposed to be doing yet.
He got out there and bled the injectors in the tractor
two days after....and remembered it well for a couple
of days..........Men....???????????

Cooking?????? If it don't bite me, too hard, first...........
it's goin' in the oven !!! I love leftovers....and it's
time for some FOOTBALL !!!!! Two TV's and two
remotes set up, my spiral notebook, and show
Kendra where the styro plates are........................
I'm good to go......... But, will admit, am tired of the
fruity cheesecakes......... Am in the process of
picking a chocolate cheesecake recipe.....as long
as there is cream cheese in it, I'm happy.

Have a good one !

Walking out the door now!

You can always protest the taxes going up once a year. At least we were able to do that in Dallas and also claim homesteading claim or something like that at least it was like that in TX, so that the taxes are only allowed to increase by a certain percentage each year and no more from when you originally bought your house. We tried to go every year, it was in May there and took lots of pics of the parts of the house or property that still needed work and improvements, then take the estimates of how much it would cost to fix those problem areas, along with property taxes of nearby properties that are similar to yours. This might help, if they have the same sort of thing here in OK, I am not sure though.

Al - Hi how are you doing today?

Stray - I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

County - So are you taking classes during your Xmas break? Not me, I needed a break and time to get other things done, plus with Char's performances I have not had much time for other things.

Well, I will talk to everybody later.

Oh yes, I think the sports are Bull riding, Baseball, basketball, and boxing. Of course the fifth sport is Softball, hehehe.
