So Stimpy what are you thinking, where ya gonna get your Cornish whites ??.

AL

Q,

I'm doin great. I have all my shopping done and I'm ready to watch football and take naps all weekend long.

Al,

I don't know where I'll get them yet. I have certain characteristics in mind, so I'll have to see who has the birds that match them the closest. I hope to be ready to start by early summer.

I am having three fingers of Crown and trying to get the grill going....

No Christmas Picture this year...... This is the first year I didn't cross stitch either....I usually listen to Christmas music and stitch the first 2 weeks in December...I missed that...I haven't had the focus....too distracted. I am trying to plan a baking day on Christmas Eve...The weather is not being cooperative....

I used to, but I honestly read very little of it... so I let my subscription expire

I don't know .. I'm a member of the ABA, but I haven't raised bantams in 20 years.

True... for a poultry raiser there are benefits to reading any info on poultry.
I really have been thinking about re-subscribing to the Poultry Press... but at the time I subscribed I only did it to get myself a list of poultry shows, then I found out you can find that information on the internet!

My reasons are rather selfish. I want the best list of breeders I can get. I know that some of them are listed online, but not all of them. I want them all

how big should my BA chicks be to integrated them? they are 3 months old, and have been in adjoining enclosures for some time- but they are still a bit smaller than the others....

other than keeping water from freezing, i haven't done any preparation for the storm- have a towel over the coop window, anything else i need to do? a light or something to keep it a bit warmer for them?

Hey guys,

Currently laying down the sticky tiles on the floor, so at least it appears we are making progress..

The great thing about taking down the old Wood Paneling is that we tore it down "nicely" and will be able to reuse it for our other projects.... (rebuilding the old well house, the Turkey house we will be building since we plan to expand on our turkey raising... ect).

I know I am blabbing alot on the thread about the house stuff, and for that I apologize... I will try and keep it to a bare minimum... then I guess when we update I will say HEY GO CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE.. tee hee, but for now I have all the update pics on the camera...

Well I better go, Jason needs me to clean out back behind the washer and dryer so we can sticky tile that too while we are at...

You guys have a great evening if I dont pop on here later..

Non ciao per ora, ma per lungo( bye for now but not for long in Italian)

My hatch was due tomorrow, but one Cream Brabanter managed to make its way into the world while I was at work, and another just knocked the top of the shell off, so we'll have two screaming peepers all night. There are a few Salmon Faverolles pipping, and more Brabanters pipping, so maybe on my official hatch date I'll have an incubator full of chicks! DH was home already (vacation day for him), so he got to see the first one hatch.

Also when I was still supervising pubescent miscreants (high school students), the dog went into hysterics because one of the hens got loose from the laying pen. The guinea patrol went after her, and Conner, that's the dog, just about blew a gasket. DH rescued the hen from the guineas and put her in a cage alone so she could calm down. He told me how he comforted her, and listened to her talk for a little while, and said he might see how chickens could be attractive, in a bird sort of way. There's hope for him yet.
