That is a great idea about putting the peanut butter on the bread since they like both. WalMart sells a 6lb can of peanut butter for $8 which is not bad. Wish I had a Sam's card and I could get the 12lb can which used to go for $12.
Well I got hit by coons last night and they got two of my turkeys. Pulled them off a 7 foot fence. I am so bloody ticked. Been putting off getting a dog but I think I am at the point where that is not an option anymore. The coop is locked down at night so they can not get in there but the turkeys refuse to go in the coop at night. Maybe I should dig out my hot wire unit and electify the fence. Well I am in the market for bourbon red turkeys if anyone has any they would like to get rid of.
It is supposed to get up to 37 degrees today, I sure hope so. Last night I made two water warmers so I am going to get them set up today. Do you all think a 40 watt bulb will do the trick?? They seem to warm up pretty fast but I did not leave them on long to see if they got really hot or not.
Well I better get some work done before the days starts and the kids get here. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Muesky - so sorry about your turkeys. That really stinks to lose them to coon. I know what you mean though about turkeys refusing to go inside a roost. I have had them refuse to go inside while it was sleeting outside.
I haven't made any of the waterers myself, but a 40 watt bulb would certainly get hot inside that small metal space. Someone who has made several of them needs to tell us what wattage bulb they use. I think the pictures I saw used a bulb that looked like a Christmas light/chandelier light.

9 degrees here and we finally have snow in the forecast for Thur. A whole two inches is predicted.
Watching the stralings water at the koi pond,its the only running water left!Didn't take Buster and Tullie(the Chi. kids) long to do their business outside this morning. Now they want to rip and romp thru the house.
Well I'm campaing to get the DW to agree to move back to OKl. this year. (so far not doing to well!lol) I figure if we don't get it done this year we will be stuck here forever. So if anyone hears of any nurse management openings be sure to to let us know. Thats her only hold out is being able to find something and then haveing the umph to start over in a new job.
