I have to say guys and gals that I am glad I went with the name MISFIT FARMSTEAD because went out to go feed and what do I NOT see but 3 outta 4 of the horses this morning.

This time they were chilling out with some moo cows up along old highway... I am grateful for the wonderful folks that while I was leading them back 1 mile to the house slowed down or stopped to allow safe passage.. I am grateful for my wonderful elderly neighbor wayne for walking behind my horses while I lead with our shetland... For the other folks that went speedy by... shame on you... you could have caused an accident when my colt and filly got spooked and nearly ran across the road....

after all accidents can be prevented if we are a bit more observant of our surroundings...

Onto Chickens news: jason and I are looking at getting meat chicks to raise for Future Yummy Meals any suggestions on what to raise?

You must not be talking about getting MF Cochins from Ideal. I have been wanting to get MF Cochins forever now, or so it feels. So where would you be ordering some MF Cochin chicks? Do you also know where to get Standard Mottled Cochins?

At this time I am not going to order MF cochins but maybe in April or May I will. As far as I have seen none of the hatcheries have Standard Mottled Cochins. I would love to have some if they did. Maybe that could be a breeding program to start. My guess would be to breed barred cochins with black cochins to get the Mottled but I have not seen Standard size barred cochins.

I will let everyone know when I am going to order soon.

Now where would you order the MF Cochins from? I must know! I need them, I need them badly! I will die if I don't get me some MF Cochins soon. I have been dreaming about them since fall sometime.

Where oh where do you get the MF Cochins? Oh where oh where could they be? [sang like the little lost dog song}

I need to clarify something about the problems that occurred yesterday. I want to get this behind us as quickly as possible and move on. I shoukl have posted this last night but I wasn't feeling very well. Anyway here is a PM I got from Nifty chicken concerning prayer talk on the thread. I think some think that we can't mention prayer in any context but that is not the case or against the rules.
Here is what Nifty told me.

Thanks for posting the clairification for those that needed it. I know it isn't said but thanks for all you do for this thread, trying to keep everyone in line and our thread out of trouble. I know that it isn't possible for you to be here all the time but I just feel like you do so much that isn't noticed and I wanted to say THANK YOU!
