My brown leghorn pullet's comb is so big it flops over - giving her a fancy "Sunday Church Hat" look. She'll be a good layer for you.

Here is one of my Leghorn girls a couple months back -

Hey Steph - I don't know that I've ever seen a brown leghorn roo - I did a BYC search for "brown leghorn rooster" and I found this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=280227

City - thanks, thats what I thought, it is partridge in color and totally different looking than the hens.

All wet & dreary looking outside today here in Tuttle. I don't even want to go out & feed before I have to go to work today. So, Gerald will hopefully do it for me.

He's already out on a mission for me today, picking up some wooden crates that we can convert into chicken shelters. Anyway, he hopped in his big 'ol green army truck this morning and headed out to pick up a buddy to go get some crates. I know he wanted to get out & drive around in that truck ... but will he remember to go get the crates?

I sure wish I could go to some chicken sales today. I've almost got the shakes from not having enough buying & selling time. I'll sure miss ya'll that are going.

Wow, it seems to be time to start loading our incubators heavily for the spring chicks. I guess I need to have a talk with all the hens, because egg production is low right now. I might have to resort to putting a light on at night in their pens.

Well, I'd better get off the computer & get something done around here before heading to work.

Oh and new folks that don't have chickens yet .... a word of advice .... move to a place you can have lots of chickens. I've read about too many people that have gotten into trouble, forced to get rid of & even fined for having chickens illegally.
