If they are males there wings should be almost black by now, the hens will be the cream color with black dots and very little color on her head, if I can figure out how to post pictures I have some with young birds in them.

Both auctions would net 6 or fewer white orp. eggs. one is for 6 and 6, the other is for a rainbow assortment (probably only 3 eggs would be for the white orp.

12+ Project Rainbow Orpingtons - White, Lavender, Jubilee Projects PA by hinkjc --
These are the folks I've already PMd. Their current auction would only be for 3? of the white??? I did send another e-mail asking about the price for a dozen white, plus shipping, with dates they would be available. Maybe this will work out an I'll be able to get the eggs from hinkjc.

You have found a wonderful group of people, many of whom are addicted to hatching eggs, acquiring poultry and attending poultry auctions. Just remember that some addicts tend to also be enablers and may try to entice you into the world of being addicted to hatching eggs, acquiring poultry and attending poultry auctions.

That said, what kinds of poultry do you have and what kind would you like to acquire?

Thank you very much! Since they don't have any color on their wings except the black flecks, I will remain hopeful that they are hens.

Do I need to move the youngsters to another pen or can they stay in the adult pen with the two peacocks and their mother? (one of my peahens fell off the roost and broke her neck last spring) I don't want the chicks to get injured by the adult peacocks, but they all seem very content in the same pen.

Eric (fletcher sale) does a pretty good job, Alex sale still? Old man at cement you cant understand and wonders off into conversations doesnt pay attention to bidders and leaves you with the next highest bid of what you actually bid, Chris(Blanchard sale) is still learning, the other auctioneer at blanchard and also Lexington sale, is the LOOK AT ME guy, wouldnt hurt for him to work on his people skills acts like everyone is wasting his time. all that said, their job is to get the most out of the bid for the seller, not to give buyers great deals, not everyone pays attention all the time, and they are just trying to make sure no one misses out or gets upset on missing a bid or missing a PO. they all do need to work on there breed and sex descriptions and pronunciations, but that is not necessarily their job. They basically just relay the words for the sellers and get the bids going. i think the sellers need to make sure they give clear and accurate descriptions of what they are selling and help teach them the correct pronunciation of breeds, for instance the worst one for me that i hate to hear is the whole americauna, araucana, i have yet to see a true araucana, only americauna.
