Hence the thought of needing more ventilation. The only reason I posted the pic was so that people could see the doors.

Oh ok Yes i like those doors very differnt.. it is a neat idea though

I am thinking his wife just shot him when he got back home with those quackers.

How much trouble could he be in, he only took 6. I could have sent him with all 14, at least that way she might have notified us with what she had done to him.

Insulation will work both ways, warmer in winter and a little cooler in summer with enough ventilation. Ya'll are blessed with an abundance of trees which really help modulate the temps in summer.

Yes your right there. most of our chickens have shade all day long.

It would be good to see you there and to finally meet you in person. I hope you get to come. its not just about the buying of chickens we all have a really good time visiting with each other.

The meeting people thing is really the only draw for me right now... only sad part is that I'm very very shy in person.

S'all good. If I get to go, then great! If not, I guess I'll be sleeping or attempting to clean the pit that I'm currently calling a house

Thats ok to be shy, we will do the talking for you and by the end of the night you will be a family member( it might as well be like that now). We, as a group dont meet strangers.

I did too, but I just act like the other person is lost and doesnt know what they are talking about. By the time they are done trying to figure out if it was me they really remember they are just as twisted as I am so we fit right in...

Funny, made perfect sense to me.

Back when I was doing all the fun type things there are not just moments that I can't remember but years at a time. I have people come up and talk to me and I haven't a clue who they are but I worked on a bike for them or whatever and they are still happy with what I did so I guess it's all good.

And on that note I think I too will retire for the evening.

The fog here is already so thick that I can't see the neighbor's yard light 500 feet away so those that have to drive early moring be careful.

which direction, closest will be chickasha, newcastle, or norman, 80 bucks a night in newcastle. Norman has several motels near the interstate, blanchad sale is located south of the rodeo grounds on county line road, off of highway 62

Chickasha has lots of places an i think they would be alot cheaper....

I take a break to paint my nails (I know, sometimes I'm such a girl) and most everybody goes to bed. What's up with that??

Oh, and since school starts tomorrow, I probably won't get to be online much in the evenings. I can't afford to get behind in any classes, especially since I only have 3 classes left for my associates and I'm taking 2 of them this semester.

Yes it did. I've been reading it and still thinking about getting some birds to give it a try. Just enough to stock our freezer. I'm not sure I want to go the expense of getting setup for processing, we're not looking to turn it into a money maker, just want good food & want to try to avoid the chemical chickens at the market.

So I guess at this point I need to find a processor before I go further.

I am really curious to find out more on what you guys are talking about! Can you fill me in?
