I am glad everybody enjoyed it so much, me and the Boys had a good time too, I think LOL. Just remember our humiliating moment was for the greater good, we sacrificed our dignity for a measley laugh.

As always there will be a need for plenty of hands in the kitchen with set up & clean up! It was wonderful last time with all the help!

I am just hoping someone will come up with a center piece idea cause I got nothing! LOL.

Donna you are in charge of dumplins and peach cobbler. Oh and whatever Carah needs you to do.

Marybeth...I think you'd find it in the medicine isle. My mom used it before but I can't remember what for. It's clear and comes in a small bottle if I remember right.

its used in cooking to keep icing soft, so i guess its in the baking section, my daughter had an extra bottle, so gave it to me- she ordered it online

edited: i just did a search. says it should be near the jello, apparently there is a non-food glycerin also

My feed store carries glycerin in gallon jugs.

Monty....Al just said since everyone wants a return of the Chickendales that you'll just have to please the people and do it. He said you'd be in charge of getting it together. LOL

DH just reminded me that glycerin isn't just for candy making. He remembers specimens in his high school biology lab perserved in jars filled with glycerin. It's used in soaps and lotions, too. Is absorbs water from the air... don't know how, but DH says it does so it must. He said he thinks it might also be a preservative, something in jam or fruit preserves????

Here's the kicker... think dynamite. Nitroglycerin! The glycerin you get at the grocery store is meant to be consumed. It won't explode.

POCO, You should sne dthe pic of the Sussex crowing into BYC for picture of the week. Thats is a great pic.

We used to use glycerin on our fingers when sorting papers and counting money. It lets you grip things but isn't sticky.
