I hope that the only thing blowing and going is the weather guessers. The forcast changes by the hour but there is still a chance the low could either drift North or South which could change things drastically.
Yes those are Buff in the background. I got them from Jeannie (BarnSwallow.)
I don't get a second wind when I'm tired. Its all or nothing for me. When I get really tired, ny eyes go really blurry. Its because of my contacts.
I was trying to wait up for DH and DS to get home. They had to make sure the rural water was working for the cattle. He switched them over from well water in case of a power outage. They decided to go critter hunting while they were out. DS is in the shower now and then its to bed for everyone.

Well, I decided to call in tomorrow. The problem is that my boss doesn't necessarily respect his employees enough to allow us to go when the weather gets bad. On the Christmas Eve storm, he refused to release early (it was a company wide half day) and made two of the admin guys (salaried) stay 2 hours past that. 1 of those guys lives an hour away... and it took him 5 hours to get home. So yeah. I don't drive well in inclement weather, and I refuse to allow the dude to compromise my safety. I don't get paid enough for that.

I have "night'n'day" contacts, they don't get blurry. At least, not for me. But I'm weird like that. I can't "nap" and feel good afterward. If I nap, I'm cranky nasty when I get up. J hates it when I fall asleep on the couch.

Mine are continuous wear and only bother me when I'm really tired. If I take a nap, no matter how long, I wake up with a migraine. I've learned not to take naps, well unless I already have a migraine.

The breed originated with a lady named Ann Baker in the 60's. She bred Persians, Burmese & Siamese cats together in order to get a pointed (color type) longhaired cat without the flat face. She then took the most mellow of those resultant kittens and bred them together in order to promote a laid back attitude (which only Persians have... Burmese and Siamese aren't known for being "mellow"). They are called Ragdolls because of the fact that the vast majority will go completely limp when picked up, like a rag doll (Ann Baker named them). Unfortunately when breeding for the extremely mellow temperament, their protective instincts were largely bred out.... so not only do they go completely limp when they are picked up, most of them do not even have self-protection instincts. I can't let Rhodes outside because he literally could not protect himself... he doesn't have the instincts to know how.
When I made that crack that he's afraid of mice, I wasn't kidding. The largest thing he'll chase & kill is a moth (he does like to kill june bugs too). In the last 3 years, he's scratched my daughter twice... once when she stepped on his tail, once when she was in the process of dropping him. Both times I think were accidents, because he literally only got her with one claw each time. He plays fetch like a dog too...
