Pretty much. I am go run back to the pens in a bit and move a few pullets. I think they would be ok where they are but why take a chance since I have a better place I can move them too.

i hatched for several people this year an i charged ROOSTERS

i just made the deal to get all the roos as soon as you could sex them.that paid off better then chargin to hatch

Hubby just called and they released them from post, I have several trees around my house that I am keeping my eye on... they are old and the branches run along the power lines... Not terribly worried, I went ahead and cranked up the thermostat(even though I normally keep it at 68 as it runs a 3 degree difference ) just in case the power does decide to go at least it will be warm and toasty for a while..lol then again we have plenty of quilts and clothes to bundle up with... the only mess I am running into now is under the loafing shed its flooded out and makes me glad for my red rubber rain boots(courtesy of my late grandfathers wife).

DD made home made Hot Cocoa anyone up for some?

Good Late Morning Everyone!

Dang it is getting cold fast. I do not like this weather at all. On the plus side neither myself or Uli had to go to work today, so I am planning on going back to bed here real soon for a nap. I Love Naps on crappy days.

Got to go out and add one more bag of bedding to the coop and start herding all their butts back in the coop. It is just sleeting right now and of course cold, cold, cold. Got everything as prepared as I can with no generator. Which is one of the first things I am going to buy when I get my income taxes back. But we have plenty of water stored up and I am getting ready to make some beans and cornbread and do some baking to keep the house warmer for a while.

Well I am going to finish the last minute chores and then go take that nap.
