I am feeling better for knoe... I am trying to help feed everybody in the garage but Carl keeps telling me he will get it. Think Im going to have him rotate my leg then head for a nap. Feeling a bit tipsy but back feels good, hate feeling like this, guess this is why I dont drink that often.

Hello all.

I was having withdrawls from my computer so I went in the kitchen and make some more No Bake Cookies. About the time I was spooning them out, the electricity came on. I was so happy.

DH and DS have gone to check the cattle. They need feed especially when it is cold.

DH was kind enough to clear most of the ice off my car before he left. There was one problem though. He tells me that the ice was holding the driver's side mirror on and as soon as he got the ice of the mirror fell off. I think he just hit it too hard. Oh well, it is easy to replace. If that is all the damage that I get out of this storm, I will be happy. I have already had to replace the other mirror. It only took about 10 minutes. Now it's just a matter of getting to town to get a new one.

I'm thinking about braving the roads and making a trip to Elk City. It is only about 15 miles away. Today is the day that I was supposed to get my new laptop, ie: payday. My check is direct deposited and just sitting in the bank waiting for me to go get my laptop.

CRAP.

I had thought we were done with the ice. I thought the snow was the last leg of the journey. I just looked at the "ice map" and we're now at a level 4 instead of the level 2 we were at. GREAT.

I was just looking at the Saturday sale that CDR Electronics in Oklahoma City is having tomorrow, and think I might just have to go. Gerald wants a GPS.

Shavon, you might be interested in saving your money for one of the laptop computers for sale at CDR Electronics. They have some really great bargains.

Here's their online ad:

Might be a good idea to call first - to be sure the place you are going to get the computer is open. I don't think the malls in OKC area are open.

Come on over and I'll share the cookies with you. I generally end up eating the whole batch by myself and I really don't need to do that anymore.

I won't be going to OKC until Feb. 10th and then it is just to catch a plane to TN. I kinda want it before then. I'm just a little impatient. I've been waiting for it for a year. My DH promised me a new one last Feb. after he fried mine. We just haven't had the extra cash to put towards one. Now that I have my new job and most of the bills paid off, I can afford one.

I called this morning to make sure they still have the one I want. They will be open all day.

J just called... he was leaving work. I expect him here in roughly 30 minutes or so... it's a ten minute drive from my house to the base. Considering that all the animals are at my house, that's where we're at. Not much in the way of snow/ice in the coop, but I just broke the ice off the front porch.

I tried helping Gerald feed chickens, but my hands were frozen and I gave up & came back in. It is still snowing and ice has built up heavily on all the trees and pens. We can't even get into most of the chain link pens to feed & water, the ice is so thick. I just threw feed toward their houses & hopefully they can get to some of it in the snow.

My German Shepherd rubbed against one of my smaller redbud trees and knocked off most of it's branches ... the ice is so thick they just broke off

Here's a pic I just took of Gerald about an hour ago.

Sorry I missed your lunch. I think I would have used the wide noodles and ate it just like that and not put it on anything.
Had the vegetables not been in it I would have gone the dumpling route and if you were gonna pour it over something, a big pot of homemade mashed potatoes would have been my choice.

I used to eat at a little diner when I was running a sales route and one of their daily specials was homemade chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. Their noodles were more like dumplins than noodles. It was great.
I have tried toi duplicate it here at home and I have got close but not quite the same as theirs. I think their noodles were homemade or something. They were long and slener but had the consistemcy of dumplins.
We had butter saute'd chicken over angel hair pasta cooked in olive oil and red peppers.

Sorry I was of no help but thanks for asking.
