Now, about your question: I think you got a Sportsman (large cabinet incubator) fan. That would be too powerful and too big for a Styrofoam incubator. Maybe you can contact the seller?

Thanks Grace!!!! Now I need to send a pm to you and Al. It might take a little while, depending on how much work I have to do in between enjoying this thread, and actually working

Thanks Asa! I ordered some Worm-Rid 2X Pelleted Goat Dewormer from americanlivestock.com yesterday, so they'll be wormed as soon as I get it in the mail. I really think they could use a good worming ... the 2 young does look thinner than they should. I haven't even bought the goats any goat feed yet. The guy we bought 3 of them from said he just fed them sweet feed & hay so that's what we bought. I think I'd better go get some goat feed tomorrow along with more feed for all the hungry birds. Our feed bill is sure high with all those big turkeys we still have ... over a hundred turkeys sure eat a lot

ive seen people feed them nothing but sweet feed and they were fat and had several babies at a time, and could raise them up. guess in saying that, i would find something that works for you and go with it. if they are allowed to graze and have a fairly large area to roam, they will usually do fine with a little sweet feed and hay, most love alfalfa just have to watch for bucks eating too much of it. how old are your turkeys, are you looking to thin out on them?

Hopefully, you will have all the hens laying soon so you can start recouping some of that feed investment.

Yeah, that is definitely what needs to happen. We have too many toms still also. I should put an ad on craigslist on the toms ... will trade for ????? something that doesn't eat so much.

That reminds me .... I have a Narragansett hen that every time I go into her pen, she makes sure she's above me and as soon as I get close, she pecks me on the head, which will always make me scream & yell. I have affectionately named her .... Peck-Her-Head .... well that sounds like what I call her ... along with telling her she'll be the first turkey hen I sell!
