It's
not good for me to become bored...

I had something like that on someone wanting to hatch eggs for others. I will never buy feed from walmart.

In my opinion, it is more difficult to do what you do than it is for me, with my full time job.

Well I got it off HWY 9. technically Norman. It was about $9.10 a bag... Not bad so I went ahead and got all 11 bags they had. It is normally almost $17 a bag but they are trying not to sell the 20% anymore so the guy said if I pay cash and take all the bags he would take $100 for all. That is the only place close that carries it so thought i would try it.

Normally $17 per bag

I don't think I would want my poultry to learn to like something that expensive.

Well Im going to call around tomorrow to see the cheapest price I can find it for... If it is good feed then I dont mind $12 bag but that is as high as i go...lol

How much is it and where do you have to go to get it? I have been feeding Red River 20% lay pellets but need to look at a receipt to see what I have been paying.

Steph did you buy the feed from Little Axe Feedstore? If so he better not stop selling 20%! I told him that is all I wanted to buy for the rest of the season. I would be interested in as many as you are willing to part with.

My Books I got at the friends of the libary sale:

Chickens in your backyard, a beginner's guide
Hobby Farms Chickens, Tending a small scale flock for pleasure & profit
Living on a few acres, US department of agriculture.
Barnyard in your backyard
Raising Milk Goats successfully
Storey's guide to raising dairy goats
storey's guide to raising ducks

Not bad!

Only the 20% Blue Bonnet.... Is that what you usually buy? I fed 2 1/2 bags today... I need to keep about 4 bags. That should leave 4 bags.

It happens to all of us!! I'm here just nothing to add to the feed topic. I'm happy with my mill & very happy that I don't have to go far to get it.

By the way my SLW have yellow legs with a slight grey ting to them.

Had to feed the babies. Found another egg out there that was light brown and didn't match either the Pyrite (marans) or Lucky (black star). That leaves Earthquake (the wyandotte) since Wildfire (the light brown leghorn) and the MFCs should be laying white eggs
