You know Q it might be that your chickens are really pigs. I have a few of them that like to gorge themselves.

Actually but what has bothered me is some of them are about normal for after eating, but then some of them were huge!! I am talking they were looking deformed and like mutants, but they are getting better I beleive!

i am totally tired...spent the day working on a banty duplex- it all started getting a grow-out pen made, then hubby suggested making it into a duplex, banties on the top, the young chicks on the bottom- soooo... i am excited, they will really enjoy being outside.. meanwhile, the silkie roo is recovering from his wry neck or whatever it was, the vitamins, and oatmeal mash, today he is holding his head almost normal, drinking and eating on his own...

Q : I lay off the cracked corn on the young ones, they just over do it sometimes Ok all the time. I just wait till their bigger and then I only feed them enough to make them mad, but they never have crop problems.

I agree with you Al but I also say that some of them are just being pigs. I have some that still do that even as adults. Of course fruit newton night does not help either

I have seen them eat so much of it they can't fit anymore in, so as it falls out they just keep picking it back up. Total glutens I agree.
