I do. Whatcha need to know?

I have a higher temp in the top tray than in the next tray. I wonder if that is normal? I just got it in the house, it has had 3 hours to set.

Very normal but three hours of run time is not nearly enough to stabilize it and heat all the wood and metal inside of it.

As with all bators there will be a drop in temp when eggs are put in it but do not adjust it, it will even out.

It has been running for weeks, It was unplugged drove to me house from the neighbors(10 min tops) & plugged right back in. Top tray says 102.7 & 98.8

With a swing like that I would change out the wafer on the front one unless it is electronic. Then it sounds like it is going to the back-up switch which shoud be set at 102. Ours holds about a 1/10 deg variance.

Come again? Laymans terms please. I believe it is electronic?

yes electronic, small black box attached to the inside.

Further back on the same side there is a bent wire thing with a wing-nut on it. That is your back-up switch. It sounds like the electronic one is either out or mis-adjusted.

Also there are four vents on the back both top and bottom, how are those set?
