Doc, I could use them if they haven't been claimed!

YOU are the FIRST. All we have to do is work out how to get them to you..... it is a long way over there.

I take em away and put them in the bator. Had a broody come up earlier this year with 6 or 8 chicks and they tried to cut across the turkey pen. Gobble, gobble, then there were none!

Yep, that will be the trick! Unless someone closer could use them?

Thanks Cuban I'll keep doing 12.

She's been trying to sit for over a week, so I figured I would put some under her.

Les, I guess I'm kinda mean, I let them hatch out and then put the chicks in a brooder. Your right they don't last long if you leave them with momma.

Yes but what is HER absolute limit??

Since I'm paying for it's food and upkeep, whatever MY limit is

When she's a bit older and starts earning her own money, she can get more if she still wants them.

Cuban, PM me Please.

Busy Spring Break so far. Grand daughter is staying with me to help out. She collected eggs, cleaned pens, and let some of the roosters free range with supervision today. She especially liked the Salmon Faverolles.

Hi,

Worming was the first thing I did, took water away yesterday and gave them fresh water with wazine this morning. I'll check the throats tomorrow when I get home. No signs of bad eyes, no runny noses, no coughing or labored breathing. They are in very open air housing, lots of great ventilation.

Your grand daughter is a cutie, hope you have a good shotgun to chase off the boys. That rooster is gorgeous. If your hens are that good, I would love to have some of them.
