Sooner - I sent you a PM for T-Shirts.

Our daughter's Girls Scout troop just left for their big day in Muskogee. There's a workshop in Muskogee, so since the girls live in Bartlesville, they camped out here on air mattresses to shorten the drive in this morning. They work so efficiently! By the time I came in from feeding and watering our flock, the beds were made, bags were loaded in the van, and everyone was sitting at the table eating breakfast. DD was a retail store manager before, and now she's a loan officer, so I guess her management skills translate well into leading scouts.

A skunk must have hit the new electric fence last night. One of the chicken pens is stinky beyond belief. I've moved the birds to another pen. I found burnt black hairs on the ground under one of the wire strands. I hope this means we won't be seeing a repeat visit from Mr. Stripey.

Got your order for shirts & when I wake up I will deal with all the PM's. I have just slept 11 hours! I'm sure I will feel better when I wake up.

I will be finishing cleaning the coops today & spraying.

It looks nice outside.

OH I have a early hatch POCO. The first set of eggs I got are starting to hatch out.

Working really hard these days in this beautiful weather! I'm building 4 new coops with a covered pen over all and separate sections for each. It's quite a project, and I'm veeerrrry slow with my knee problems, but it is beginning to take shape. I badly need the space!

Vashi and I are also trying to catch up on about 4 years behind on our yard (usually my responsibility only). Almost all our two acres is becoming overgrown with saplings of various kinds, and after the ice storm a couple of years ago, many areas were opened up to sun, with resultant overgrowth of all sorts of things. He's a trouper helping me try to get these areas cleared out.

Just got home from a day's errand running that went horribly wrong. My arm is still bleeding from scratches caused by tree limbs. Someone is gonna think I'm a crooked cutter. I'm thinking about just hiding on the couch and knitting.

I'm chillin' in the recliner with a baby sprawled out sideways across my chest. I don't think I'm moving anytime soon. It took forever to get her asleep. She is just cutting her first teeth and will only sleep if she is being held. I know it is because she doesn't feel good. Poor baby.

yep- it is- thats one of my guineas... they just facinate me!

talked to my daughter whose SIL works at the mall- she got out cause they came on the PA and told people to get out- the mall is still in lockdown- i grew up in san diego- and this kind of thing always gets me- apparently there were 3 shooters, they can't find them, and 2 shootings a couple blocks away from the mall... will let you know if i hear more...

So glad you all from the Muskogee area are posting.
Isn't Arrowhead Mall the one downtown? Is really
scarry to think that stuff like this has made it's
way to small cities and towns.

Still hatching some chicks, but about ready to shut
it down for the year.

TJ ended up #2 overall for Cherokee County at our
final local show last night. Considering the juniors
only get half-points for showmanship here, he did
really well. The girl that was #1 is 17, but she has
done a super job as well. He won another one of
the embroidered camp chairs and..........of all things...
an incubator !!!!!

Am sure everyone is enjoying this weather.

Yes the mall is the one downtown, right across the street from where the chili cookoff is held.
I had just told my daughter she could go skating when my son's girlfriend got a text telling
her what was going on. Needless to say I said no to skating. I won't have them in town
when they don't even know who the shooters were & haven't caught them.

Appearently they had to lock down one of the elementry schools on Friday for shots fired on
Friday. So sad that this is in the small towns & cities now.

Congrats to TJ for doing so well.

Sooner... Sue and my daughter can't hardly get me to go shopping, especially in a mall. I have been in that one a few times though. Never know when or where this can happen anymore.

We will be thinking about y'all out there with that craziness. Why can't kids settle things by butting heads! It worked for us.

I got a lot of work done today. I had two students helping me today. It was great. Had them catch birds and didn't gather eggs yesterday so they could do it this morning! They now have proof their teacher is a lunatic!
