How are you guys doing? We haven't been to the auctions in an AGE...but it is just as well, we had a hard month with our flock this month...glad that it's over now! (well, almost over!)

Hey Elle--did you ever try out that chicken poop lip balm that you got at the POOPS auction? I have always wondered if it was any good

I donated it and the two little pails that have vintage-style chickens on them that you got too...I thought they were ADORABLE and PERFECT for bantam eggs...

Ok found out what was wrong with my hen. We just picked them up about 3 weeks ago, maybe a month. Anyhow we usually try to wait to dose the birds with too much since we dont know what the previous owners have used on them and when. Carl cut her open to find her full of worms. So those birds are now getting wazine to get rid of them and we are treating the rest of the birds as a precaution.

WOW! That is gross

but better to know than always wonder! I wormed my laying flock thanks to Carla's suggestion and I think it helped them all get better, faster. And their combs are starting to look nice and bright again too!

Well, peeps, I am about out of here...gotta go to physical therapy in the pool

Will try to post tonight after chores are finished to give an update on the pullet.

I kinda bought it for that purpose...I thought it was hilarious! But so far, no one I know has tried it. I might have to get some just so I can try it out! LOL!
