Hello Everyone!
Grace I looked at your photos and they are great. I especially like the pic of the blue ameraucana rooster and the one of the white cochin rooster with the two chicks ("are you my daddy??" came to mind)
Thanks Monty for letting us know how Donna is doing.
Well I took a peachick and two chicks to work for my students to see. They loved them and had lots of questions. I am afraid there maybe some upset parents when the kids start asking for pet chickens.
My order from Welp hatchery arrived today.
15 dark brahmas and 7 bourbon red turkeys. Oh my gosh are the dark brahma babies cute.
and of course the poults are so sweet. This is my last hatchery order for the year. really I want to get the chicks and poults grown up before winter comes. Starting to make plans for next year on what breeds to add to the flock next year. First I want to get the chicken city set up in its permanent place and get the other coop up and insulated before winter. Just so much work and so little time, it seems.
The only things I am wanting to aquire now is, of course, peachicks. Which reminds me I need to go make a phone call.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. It looks like rain so try to stay dry, too.
