Sorry I had to run to get some eggs. I had planned CFS for dinner and realized that I had no eggs. What is up with that!? Well by the time I got home, it was too late to fix that, so we are having Spaghetti. Today was a little better, but still kinda rough. The other problems are working themselves out and it looks like I'm here to stay. Although Roy & Al hugs would be nice.

I may not be knowledgeable on chickens, but I know my cats, and that was a bobcat.

MM, I raise chickens as a hobby. My occupation is aircraft mechanic at our local Air Force Base. I don't have a whole lot of time to spend on them besides feeding them, watering them, and cleaning out their coop weekly. As for mean roosters I would butcher them and eat them rather than fob them off on someone else.

On another note does anyone have a chicken tractor? I have a black sex link rooster that needs to go to a tractor so he doesn't make a lot of "mutt" chickens with my RIR hens. My wife wants to keep him because he's black and white (She has a thing for black and white.

) What would happen if I had him "castrated" at a vet?

Its not that I'm afraid of her its just that I ain't stupid!lol

So does anyone know if this is aAfton weekend? Maybe I can get her to go there! If I keep it up she will either wear down or knock me down!lol

I am hoping for the wear her down route...the knock down route hurts...I usually end up going there

as far as chickens and vets go...most won't touch them and the cost for those that will is usually crazy...you would be better off finding and ol' guy and getting them to do it....there are several deals that show how to do it...think Les...not that I would call him an ol' guy but he knows his stuff

Yup thats 100% bobcat She was also a rescue, I will be re releasing her in about a week. gonna take her somewhere in the gypsum hills by kingfisher creek and release her she is definatly ready to go.
I build chicken tractors for some people. There not exactly yard ornaments and there not quit small enough for a Roo they hold up to 4 Hens and a Roo. the price would very Depending on if you minded recycled Metal and such Or want new shiny metal. Old wood or new wood Painted, there 4x8 pens 2 feet tall With 2 access doors One to manage food and water one for collecting eggs and they also Lock the bird Up for the night. The downfall is theres not a roost PM me if you are interested.

What? Hey, my hubbie (Gerald) & I work there too. Hmmm ... I wonder if we know you.

Do a web search on how to capon (castrate) a chicken .... not that I would ever try it myself, but I guess lots of people do. Actually, it needs to be done when they are fairly young, too. I recommend re-homing the rooster and buying a bantam black & white roo that can't reach the hens

Hey Mrs. Carla how are the goats doing? I have been looking at a lot on our local craigslist lately. There are some nice ones comming thru here layely. I just can't decide on fainters or nigerians. They problem around here with both is that yo see a lot of them that have unmistakeable pgymy blood in them.I would want the fainters to be on the small size but don't want them to look like pgymys. Are yours small or large?

Mine are all small fainters, except my billy is a little on the large size. I prefer them to be small too. Oh, and we have a cute little brown & white buckling that was born a few weeks ago. He'll probably be for sale ... maybe. I sure need to buy a new digital camera to take pic's of the goats. Unfortunately, Gerald dropped the camera in a mud puddle in our veggie garden & it refuses to work anymore.

I've been thinking of adding more fainting goats ... as if I need more, but we sure like them. If only I could find someone that wants to trade for chickens!

So are you coming to Oklahoma soon?
