You only got one right. My whole life doesn't revolve around cats, Monty! In fact, here is a snapshot of my itinerary today:
1. Doctor the cat
2. Make sure the other cats have food & water
3. Flea treat all cats
4. Pet the cats and make coo-ing baby-talk noises over them
5. Kick the dog and denigrate him for his canine proclivities
6. Tell the cats that they're my best friends.
7. Draw blinds so neighbors can't see how many cats I have
8. Look at cat items on the internet
9. Tend to the chickens.
See?
I suspect that "tend to the chickens" is a little higher in the list of priorities since you will want to do that before the temp reaches 100 degrees today. At least some of the cat activities can be done later today, in the A/C, unless you are like me and don't have any cats in the house - but wait - you need to draw the blinds against neighbors trying to count cats, so some must be in the house!

Are you related to a neighbor across the street from me who when I first moved into my house I was yacking on the phone and saw a lady walk out of her home and trailing behind her was 2 cats in a row to which I was like AHHHH but then I quickly saw that Thing One and Thing Two grew to 14 more? And I was no longer thinking how cute but Oh my word......
Got to get off the computer and feed and water all the birds, so I can go to Fletcher this evening and not have to take care of anything when I get home. Supposed to get really hot today, so everyone take care and stay hydrated.
Had three "lost" chicks yesterday afternoon - Jaxon couldn't figure out which hen hatched them since they were wandering around in the flight pen, getting pecked on by all the "snake eating chickens" as he calls the Malays. I found empty hatched shells beneath the Saipan hen so gave her the two larger of the chicks and recognized the smaller of the chicks as one hatched by a Malay yesterday morning, that we put in a cage with mama and the unhatched eggs. The chick was small enough to go through the wire on the front of the cage where there wasn't a metal guard, so I put that chick back with its Malay mama. Unfortunately, she decided to brood the chick away from the rest of her unhatched eggs that were in the cage also, so those are a loss. Hopefully, I can graft some chicks to her from the ones due to hatch this weekend in the incubator. It seems like such a waste to have one chick being raised by a mama hen and having to feed and water them separate from the rest of the chickens to protect the chick.

Please give Stimpy and Lou our best - and please give us a report on how he is doing. Be careful hanging out with Al - call if you need bailed out (you have P&B's phone number, don't you?

Ha! That's probably my mom out in the Panhandle. She cannot pass a cat that appears to be homeless - my dad has had to resort to the "look at that bird!" ploy to distract her attention from stray cats. My folks used to do Freewheel every year - riding bicycles across OK from TX to KS for a week - and Mom even picked up a kitten on one of those trips. I am happy to say I don't have that disease (yet), and I only have 3 cats - all spayed/neutered.

I may have a secretary, but I do most of my own typing - just send my document to her to "make it look nice."
Hope Stimp is awake and able to visit with you two. In any event, Lou will appreciate your visit.
Be safe.
