afternoon folks...

just waiting for the festivities this evening...I am gonna help teach some stuff to foks at the church. Sometimes it doesn't pay to know folks...

just sent a boy out with 1/2 dozen or so of chicks and have several more on their way out...

Are my boys the only ones that play hunting...constantly...they take turns being deer, bears, elk (at least I think it was an elk...it made really strange sounds), and other assorted things...maybe we shouldn't watch the hunting channel...that ain't gonna happen. so far they just use the nurf guns...I will stop them when they pull out the bows or BB guns...they even got a friend grunting...poor kid

I realize officially today I am too old for late nights especially with a baby in the house..

The family and I attended the tractor pulls in Chickasaw yesterday which actually started at 7 and was still going on when we left at 11pm... Talk about a long day but enjoyable by all.

Woke up this morning to another duckling hatched out from under Widow Duck Mrs Seuss... DD counted 7 more eggs that she was laying on so

maybe we will be rebuilding our flock after all with mutt ducks... (considering at times she was not faithful to the late Dr Suess.. One of the ducks appears Sweedish.. ha ha and two of them are White Crested

I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday so far and are finding ways to beat the heat themselves... We keep having to fill up our 50 gallon horse trough 3 times a day for our 3 horses... just to hot for them so they are sucking it down like crazy!!!

Just be sure to put a surge protector on the new dishwasher - those silly computer board controls fry way too easily.

On a serious note . . . . .

I just talked to Lou, Stimp's wife. They were waiting for him to be returned to his room after a CAT scan that was necessary after Stimp took a "turn for the worse" today. Lou and Stimp's son and daughter were at the hospital with Lou, so I won't go by to visit this evening, but will check with Lou tomorrow regarding any updates. Lou just asked that everyone continue to pray fervently for Stimp.

I am praying for Stimpy, thank you so much for keeping us all up to date on STimpy!

I have just finished making another batch of soap & my wonderful DH is making my favorit dinner!!!

What are all you OKies doing tonight?? I don't think I am going to do anything else tonight but kick back & relax!

I am going to feed and water the birds that I couldn't get to this morning and then I am heading to bed.

My schedule for tomorrow night will definately not include an auction. A friend and I are going to cut out some sheetrock and remove what looks and sounds like a large quantity of honey bees. We will have to take out all the comb and honey so that mice, roaches and ants don't move in after the bees are gone. It will take awhile to get it all cleaned out, judging by the length of time the bees have been in the wall and the width they are spread out along the top of the brick on the outside of the house. Should be fun, actually
