Had a blast at the auction and really enjoyed meeting everyone, What a great crew we have here!!
Jiena (My wife) doesn't handle the heat well so has proclaimed that it will be much cooler the next time she goes to an auction with me LOL But she did enjoy meeting everyone and it was her first auction it will take her a bit to get the addiction,
I didn't get as much as I was hoping for the rabbits but I knew going in they might not bring much so that was okay also, Michael got most of them I think and if you have any questions about the breeds just PM me.
I had to sit on my hands a few times I really wanted to bid on and take home more birds but I'm committed to not buying any till I finish the new areas so I can keep them safe.
I learned a lot also from the BYC'ers about selling at auction this was the first time I ever took anything to sell so will be better prepared the next time.
I am looking forward to the next auction I can attend and I'm sure it will be to buy some more chickens among other things LOL
Had an interesting trip home got pulled over in Blanchard for a headlight being out and when I gave him my insurance form it was the old one that ended on the eighth of this month the new one was at home on my desk and then he pointed out that my drivers license had Lexington misspelled as Lecington I just renewed it last month and hadn't even noticed, the officer was really nice about it and just gave me a verbal warning as we laughed about the typo then got pulled over again for the headlight when I went through Lecington and I told him that I had just got pulled over in Blanchard and that my verification for was out of date he laughed and handed them back to me without even looking at them and said just be safe and get it all fixed, I couldn't believe I actually ran into two cops in a row and both were just really nice about it not giving me a ticket so I'm thinking that any other time I would have gotten one and the reason I didn't was it was just good luck to get to hang out with the great folks from BYC
