Okies in the BYC The Original

Goodmorning everyone! The remaining baby chicks are doing well...starting to get their wing feathers now! Sorry I couldn't make it to the blanchard auction last night. I really wanted to and it is less than 15 mins for me to get there but the safety of my flock beat that out. I am trying very hard to motivate my boyfriend to help me build this coop but he is always busy....so frustrating. I guess I am just gonna have to start on it and hope he joins me cause my version might end up looking like a very bad shanty LMAO. I am not very skilled. lol
If I build a 10x10 coop would that be big enough to house 30 birds with a little room for expansion? I have a feeling this is going to be a very costly hobby! lol

Elwood: Are you kin to any of the Lightfoots out near Weatherford? I had a couple of teachers out there a husband and wife that were just wonderful people to know!

I am going to go out this morning and take pics of my run etc. to post on here or on a byc page. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated so that I can get an accurate idea of the materials I will need to get. This way I think it will be easier for people to see it and let me know where I am messing up! Thanks Deedra

I had a great time last night and so did the kids!!!!
Matt had a good time with your boys and was worried that he didnt get the names to find them on Facebook, told him not to worry as we would find out through the BYC

Boy did I have good luck on selling my birds???? I can't believe that roo went for that much!!!!!

So happy I got to come down to go, I really needed the break!!!!!!

Robin I don't have a Cochin roo right now but will in a few months it a barred rock Cochin, but the reason I was asking was in case I needed to pick up a bird along the way on my trip.

We'll be breeding for pets and easter bunnys later on. I did learn that the auction isn't the best place to sell at least not this time of the year LOL I just had too many young rabbits and bucks so needed to sell some even if they didn't bring much and it was fun just getting to meet so many BYC'ers and they really are a great buch. If I find out where to sell I'll let you know though.

Morning everyone, I think I am now addicted to cochins the are so beautiful and graceful and OMG so so so sweet Havent even been 24 hours yet and they coo at me. Had a really nice sale this morning sold some ducks and RiR's and guineas It feels so good to finally have sme money coming back into my farm.

Peaches Airel said she was sorry she is so use to calling her bro and sis (who are mexican) silly names and such, She said she really had a good time with all the kids there and she will be on her best behavior next time " Its been to long Since i had such nice friends" and she dont want to lose them now. thanks again everyone hope to see you in 2 weeks I am bringing some things down there at that time

and forwarning I am coming in with the soul purpose to take all large coops/cages/cochins

That reminded me tha Blanchard cop that pulled me over also said my tag light was out LOL Guess I need to fix that one also
