So glad to hear this update!

Morning everyone,

What is everyone else doing this fine Wednesday... I am finishing up my living room project.. and will be making a big ol pile of YARD SALE items as I clean up.. amazing how when you start a project how much work goes into it... even as something simple as PAINTING the Living Room Walls... Anyhow I look forward to seeing some of you at the Fletcher Auction... Peaches has declared Forced Labor so I will be working the concession stand again and Jason(Lord willing )should be home in time from the field to help out as well. So Al you wont be alone... although his job I believe will be lifting the cages on to the selling table.. ha ha we will leave the talking to you

I went through the search for buckeyes earlier this year. Most of the breeders only hatch a few in the spring then sell eggs after that. I have found several that said that they would sell some juveniles but none I talked to had any to sell. I was working on this back in late March and in April. You HAVE to get on the waiting lists. Regardless it is a challange. I probably made around 125 phone calls!

Don't rule out ALL the hatcheries when it comes to Buckeyes. There are a few up north with very good reputations and have records of bloodlines. Those hatcheries have delt with some of the reputable breeders that have a couple hundred of buckeye hens. In April those hatcheries were sold out until this fall or next spring.

try hanging cd's in the trees, the twirling and reflection confuses hawks etc. Its not a guarantee, but i haven't had a hawk attack this year

GO FOR IT STIMPY!!! Prayer always is answered!

Monty there is alos vaccine, nectarine! I looked out at the pigeon/chicken loft this morning and there was this huge coopers hawk setting on the ground looking in! I finally got everyone locked up yesterday, sure am glad.

We are haveing deluge rains last night and today. I know we need it but I hate rain so bad. I think the grass has gronw an inch overnight, and all the big tall ornamental grasses are sprawling on the ground!

Great news on Stimp. Hope he keeps improving. Anyone have an address we can send cards to him?

uhhh...bring the cochins inside for the nite??

Nope not coming in the house, too hard on them to go back into the heat. The last remaining cochin (partridge juvie) will be moved with the live trap left in it's place.

Ok back with the Tylan 50 in hand....can I give this one orally to the baby? How much...one drop like the penicillan? how do you get it in their little mouth without them slinging it to kingdom come?
