Sooner, all we saw the whole weekend were does and fawns. We could have filled the truck up with them.
Not sure where the bucks were hiding.
Enjoyed getting to visit with you. How are the birds doing?
Did Matt get his deer yet? If not, you better get busy on that soap. HA!

Hey Monty! Thanks again for hualing them for me. They are doing great, as soon as I get some stuff moved around they will have a better place.

Matt didn't see anything an only went out on Sat evening. He is a mess right now with girls & stuff.

Thanks! How did Madison do? I heard Eufaula is having another show next weekend too - they keep y'all busy!

Madison did okay, we took several new birds that were still young but her barred did well again. Next weekend she will take her black Cochins & should really do well.

This next weekend is the Creek show & is for any 4H'er & it cost nothing to enter. If you win they give you small amounts of cash.

I heard about that at the Newcastle show. I called Rick Clovis and he said they shows aren't opened to any 4-H member anymore - they are only for 4-Hers in that district

I was about to start getting my birds ready, too

He said y'all have partnered with another county or something, and you are doing a circut of four shows around that district. It's only for that district's 4-H members because it was getting too big (and I guess expensive) with allowing so many others to show

No, I decided not to make the 4 hour drive to Fayetville, though we did consider it! My next show is not until Thanksgiving weekend - the Cement/Anadarko show in OK.

Ypu have found a wonderful group of folks wo either live in Oklahoma or wish they lived in Oklahoma. I really like the feed prices and customer service at King's Feed on Harrah road.

So tell us about your birds - what you have and what we can assist you in acquiring

We will be doing the Fayetteville show. Sorry you couldn't come to the one next weekend! Boo! I don't think I will attempt one on Thanksgiving weekend, you are brave.

sounds serious if Matt is putting girls before hunting. I always told the girls who were dating my sons in high school that they needed to learn when the various Oklahoma hunting seasons were scheduled, because the seasons are in the same order each year and on the same weekends each year and the girl needed to be comfortable with the concept of not seeing my son during hunting season each year.

That still holds true for at least one son - even after all these years.
