You might want to ask Buster (or was it Al?) about the joy of trying to cook a 45 lb turkey. As I recall, one of them had several especially large turkeys last year and in addition to the challenge of finding a pot large enough for boiled water, the bird didn't fit into the oven for roasting.

Al is the cook. I just killed a few.

And it was 50 pounds...

But thanks for remembering.

Corey has decided that she doesn't want to come see me anymore. My attorney has already filed contempt of court and asked for a change of custody. I'm waiting to get a court date. Dad showered her with gifts as soon as she decided to not come but she is too young to make this "decision". Hopefully, this will be corrected shortly...

Needless to say, we haven't gone to any shows since this began. At least we did get to go to the county fair.

I am so sorry dandi I will keep you in my prayers.
As for the big turkeys i will be using a Pulley method over an A frame. to scald then hang and pluck Taping the feet and banding the wings with Large rubber bands. I have 4 to do I dont see it being a problem for me to cook em since were gonna fry them in 55 gallon drums as well. we also have a smoker that can hold half a steer or a full size pig so gonna smoke one for thanksgiving and x mas we will fry it. I will post pics of course as usual.

You will be hard pressed to find breeders for those in oklahoma. 'course you could always wait until the show in shawnee this year. There might be folks selling them. I can check the latest APA yearbook, but you'd need to most likely be willing to purchase adult birds & have them shipped to you.
