Never heard of that kind of culling Robin, you'll have to explain!

WEll we made it to our Tn res.(I refuse to call it home anymore!lol) about 4:30,made good time and traffic wasn't bad till after we were through Memphis.

The ducks faired well on the trip. Any suggestions for tameing runner ducks? These are as wild as they can be.Obviopusly never been confined or handled.

Good luck on the painting Sooner. Thats a big job but I always enjoyed it,its a job where you see instant results!lol

Greybear have a question,These gilt piggys I am buying were born on the 1st of nov and the lady said she would wean them on the 18th of dec for pickup. Then today she calls and said they are weaned and ready to go! That only makes them barely three wqeeks old. Is that to young for them to be taken from the mother totally?

Glad you made it home safe Wayne!!!

I know nothing about anything else you said......Robin, where did you hear about that??? I would be concerned that it would knock them out only to not "do the job". I wish I had some advice but I don't.

he is about 3 1/2 months old, the feedstore gave him to me cuz he couldn't walk, i thought at first it was spraddle leg, but it apparently had gone on too long to correct- now it appears both hips are out of their socket, he doesn't appear in pain, is alert and scoots around when i take him out of the cage, what i had read on one of the threads was to od them on benadryl, haven't found any other info and pm'd the poster to see if they could clarify it- i hate culling!

I did a search and couldn't find any info that suggested a normal dose let alone an OD amount. Have no idea of the physiology of benadryl on fowl. The only info I found at all talked about "humane" euthenasia was break the neck, or CO2, or starter fluid w/ ether.

Sure has been slow around here lately. I get 3 or 4 days behind and in no time I'm caught up.

I'm glad there were so many of you who had a good "Thanksgiving Day"!
