Hello picture takers. We're waiting, anxiously, to see your pictures from Shawnee. Storytellers, please entertain us. Tell us all the good stuff that happened so we stay-at-homes won't feel so left out.

I will be heading home today & I am looking forward to it. My kitchen should be done for the most part & I get to check on my chickens....

Joe - We'll go next year. I'm committed. We can share a ride if you want. Maybe we can get a group from this part of the state to go together. I'd love to make it a two-day event by getting hotel rooms, meeting for meals, and being able to see everything both days. I think I'm going to start collecting my extra pennies now. Maybe by next year I'll have enough to pay for my hotel room.

As long as I don't have the Christmas party out of town again I will be there. I really missed going this time & thought of everyone that was there yesterday. Maybe I can work to get the boss to change it to another weekend......

The best part of the day was just talking to people.
I talked to many people that I had never seen before and likely never see again.
Some from Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Pennsylvania.
Then of course I talked to lots of people I did know and will see again.
I learned a little bit about NN's, saw some gorgeous bantam nn's which I found out are a lot more rare than I knew. At least quality ones.
I also learned a little about breeding them.
There were only a few standard size there.
I know that if blue was a recognized color that I have some that would have done well there.
I also found out that it will be next to impossible to ever get them accepted.
I gotta run and head to church.

When you have time Monty, I would like to know what you learned about NN breeding. Come spring I will have extra NN bantams, I have been told my roo is good other than the leg color & I will be breeding to fix that......so info on breeding would be a good thing.

Think I will go eat.
