Good Morning.

Its going to be busy again but at least I get to stay home for the majority of it. The grandbaby is feeling much better and going back to daycare today. Now Im hoping to get outside and get some cleaning done and go over all the chickens before the cold weather comes in. Need to do some cleaning in the grow out pen.

You have found a wonderful group of folks who either live in Oklahoma or wish they lived in Oklahoma

I see from some of your prior posts on another thread that you have a very intense breeding program going and that you have met Teach - at least electronically.

We would love to benefit from your wisdom regarding color genetics and hope that you will share some of your knowledge with us.

Al now you entertain me & make my day go by faster!!!!!!!

Peaches, I hope the little guys if feeling better soon! I know you have your hands full, keep yourself healthy you only have a few more days.

STeph, come clean out my pens & while your at it build me some more cookie tin heaters & the list goes on & on! LOL>

Ok I can do that for a bit, I am just goofing off at home today, maybe help Laura finish putting up more Christmas Decorations like the ones she can't reach or lift. And of course go out and spend some time with my new birds. I went out last night to mix new feed and I found myself out there for more than an hour just looking, evaluating them, and deciding & hoping on the hatching season which for me will start early this yr.

That is great that you are helping her out! Tell her I said hello.

So how many are you going to try to put on the ground this season? I will be starting a NN project come spring & I'm curious as to the numbers you look for?! I will be working on leg color first.

Sorry............... I was on the phone with Charley aka Pepper.

I am going to put as many as I possibly can on the ground this year, WTS I have some great quality new stock that I don't want to waste not a single egg. So I plan to keep the AL-A-Bator fired up all year long and do staggered hatches. So when I get an egg it goes straight to the bator regardless. So realisticly I would plan to have maybe 30 or so chicks if not more.

I will tell her for sure........................ we have almost all of it set out but there are big heavy items that get put in high places and I really don't want her on any ladders so I will help.
