We have lights on during the day year-round for the ones in the basement. The windows just aren't enough for them or me. For the outside birds, this is the first year I've put any out there. This is the first year we've left any roos out though and since I can't let them out until around 11A, they need it to see as there's no window light getting in.

I haven't had any eggs from them for over a month, not that I've found anyways. They've had enough of a break as far as I'm concerned. If the light helps get me some eggs too, well then I'm all for it right now.

Avery, when you say this is the first time you have left roo's out, what do you usually do with them??

Do you only keep young birds in the basement or breeding pairs?

Is Laura Ok?

Yeah Monty both her & Alyssa are fine, although he got her pretty good. They were a little shocked but Laura handled it well. I just hate it when you just buy a new car a few months later Bam accident, she has not been in a fender bender for 30 years, now this, go figure.
