Aw! Sorry she lost her hen.those oegbs aren't very big so I guess they don 't put out a lot of body heat. Sounds like they are sheltered pretty good tho. did you work today or move stuff to the new house( well that's work too I guess)'

Some farmers were standing around shooting the breeze one day when the topic
came around to animals and their distinguishing traits.

The group agreed that the dog was probably the most loyal animal and the mule
was undoubtedly the most stubborn.

Farmer Jones piped in, "You know, I believe probably the friendliest animal in
all God's creation is the goose."

The others wanted to know how he arrived at such a conclusion.

"Well," explained Farmer Jones, "I was out standing in my corn the other day,
and a whole flock of 'em came by overhead. And, do you know, every single one of
'em honked and waved!"

Who was it that recently mentioned having bantam brown Leghorns? I failed to write it down, and a friend of mine will probably be interested in some in the spring. He's recently gotten some really nice ones from back East somewhere, and he likes to diversify the gene pool.

Anybody out there know of anybody who migh tbe interested in a couple of 9 month old male faintng goats. I bought them off a lady who could takecare of them in the cold. Figured I might sell them so I can make me a lot bigger chicken pen with different runs for my different breeds.

My wife says that if I do not expand my pen than I cannot get anymore new chickens.

Not real sure. We can hold about 10 bantams in them and they still have plenty of space. We will be building larger ones for our large fowl later. Adding an extra 2 foot of height as well as width.
