Awesome...lots of pics! I would want a pair or trio of the Buff too.

Yep, middle of August we'll be begging for rain...it's either feast or famine.

You have goats by the way? I noticed your LGD's available....

What all do you think you might want? My inlaws are having a yard sale tomorrow and we were planning on taking most of the chickens to try to sell. Not that they will probably sell but we were going to try it.

Still raining here.....We need to get some hay cut but have to fix our tractor, of course it has to stop raining first.

Yes we have goats. Mostly Alpine and crosses. We are working on our own little dairy breed.

Small goat with a big goat udder. Easy to milk and good amount of milk for the size. I love nigerians but their teats are usually soooo small. I've got a couple of does that are about 40-50 pounds and will milk a half gallon a day, a quart per milking. They are what I am shooting for.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the rainy weather brings lots of mosquitos to our yard. I'm working on finding all the spots of standing water I can and getting rid of them, but we always seem to end up with more. Anyone have tips for controlling mosquitos? Do I need to do anything special to keep chickens safe from mosquitos?

PrincessMomma, the best poultry-related solution I have heard of for controlling mosquitoes is Muscovie Ducks! They just love the taste of mosquitoes

Krysstyllanthrox, I got wet plenty during yesterday's storm! I finally had to bring those silly Silkies indoors!

Buckguy, how many kids did you have to cook for/sponsor?

Cammie, what's the latest on those sparrow eggs?

Anybody going to the next Harrah auction ??? It is this Saturday, right? Hopefully, Hangemhorns will be able to attend too & maybe bring me a puppy ???

I may have Gerald talked in to going to the next Maud auction too. I want to just go for the fun of it, not sell ... but then again, maybe I should sell something
